This charming and historic pub, dating back to the 16th century, is a delightful spot to visit. The staff and patrons are all locals, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. On Friday nights, it's a bustling scene as half the town gathers to enjoy a meal and drinks. The pub offers a fantastic and affordable early bird menu that the regulars love. They also brew their own beer, but I personally prefer to indulge in a draft Guinness. A visit to this pub is a must if you're exploring the moors.
We popped in for lunch on a Monday lunchtime. Pub full of character and history. Friendly bar staff and a really nice menu available. Food was hot, delicious and presented first class. Good reasonable prices too. Pot of tea served on a tray, lovely these days to see that, a cute miniature milk bottle adding to the touch. Thankyou we will come back for lunch again.
Fantastic small pub with a warm atmosphere and welcoming staff. The beer garden is a delightful spot to soak up the sun. They have their own microbrewery on site, serving delicious local ales. The menu is extensive with a variety of options, including daily specials. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and it was very reasonably priced.

I stayed for one night while cycling the Coast to Coast. The pub was really friendly, with lovely staff and clean, comfortable, well-stocked rooms. It was a great find and I would definitely stay again. The food was delicious as well.
We had a lovely hot meal here a few weeks ago,with friends. staff were very friendly and we were served very quickly. I am sure we will be going there again when we are in the area.
Visited the town recently when staying with a friend. The Tally Ho was warm and inviting and served excellent food !
