I normally do not leave reviews for pub food in the area, but I believe it is customary to check in once a meal is served to ensure everything is okay. Unfortunately, this place did not seem to receive that memo. We went for Sunday lunch with low expectations, hoping for at least an edible roast dinner. However, the carrots and mashed potatoes were served ice cold. When we asked for more to be brought out, we were told they did not have enough but could warm up ours (without an apology). Since the food was already on our plates with gravy, we declined the offer. Eventually, more carrots were brought out when we had almost finished our meal, but to our surprise, only the carrots were hot. Des...
Was very disappointed with the Sunday Lunch, all veg was cold, the beef was tough, the festive burger served on cheap bap would have been better if it was toasted and chips were cold. We had to sit with coats on because the place was freezing and the staff was miserable from getting served at the bar to table. Complained but no one seem to be interested. My sister highly recommend this place for the food during the week, but she was really disappointed with the Sunday lunch.
Came on Sunday for the 1st time, heard a few good reviews so thought we'd give it a try. Ample choice on the menu including 4 different meats for roast dinner. The staggered price for 1/2 or 3 course was quite unbelievable. The quality was good, nice hot food and portions were not skimpy at all. Staff were pleasant and good service, will definitely go back soon.
Yuk !!!! This is the 2nd time in a 2 week span and i wrote the toilets were filthy hoping they were read noooo so now a week later they are not any better but another weeks dirt how they are getting away with it im amazed I will report them to the necessary authorities what also worries me what are the food areas like !!!!!!!!im disgusted Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Never visited here before but always heard good things and can thoroughly agree the food is great. Quite a varied menu and was spoilt for choice, staff were great all through our visit. We had a rump steak, chicken kebab and hunters chicken and all were delicious. This is definitely going to be a new favourite.
Had a lovely lunch today we ordered the special on the board .It was great we all enjoyed it. we had mini fish, sausage chips mushy peas curry sauce and 2 potato scallops. nice and hot and plenty of it. The bar staff were nice friendly and helpful.
I tried the hanging chicken kebab with homemade fresh chips at this restaurant and it was absolutely sensational. I would give it a 9.5 out of 10. My only complaint was that the plate it was served on was cold.

My first visit to this restaurant was fantastic, the food was delicious. It's a shame that the barmaid lacked any friendliness, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
