Long wait after the lockdown but worth it. Mick has moved into new premises in Vente Baja Behind the Taj Mahal , more space accommodation inside and out. Still the best fish and chips around. Flaky Battered Cod with home made real chips, Rounded off with Mussy peas curry Sauce BB and mug of tea. Varied menu if you prepare different cuisine. Pies, chicken sausage etc. Always freshly made for you, no warm ups here. Friendly Banter from North East Mick but can take as good as he gives. Been twice since reopened once as a couple and 2nd as a group. No one was disappointed. Gem of a place for genuine English Fish and Chips. Not to be missed if in the area and worth a special visit if your not
Have visited a few times but sadly gets worse, the pie was the worst pie I have ever eaten,tasteless, overcooked and soggy on the bottom, there is no customer service at all, you are not made to feel welcome, in fact you feel you are intruding a family gathering, if you are adverse to cigarette smoke then this is not the place for you, as the owners smoke all the time, such a shame I cant be more positive, the owner would rather finish his cigarette and drink before even thinking about cooking your food, not a good way to run a business, especially if your in a hurry, you are made to feel uncomfortable and have to pay for substandard food, sadly I wont return.
Now in Torre del Mar which is a much more convenient place for us to go to..... continues to be the best fish and chips ever and after a few visits to the UK, we don 't even bother having them there now as we know the Town Frier can 't be beaten! The fish is massive and along with 'proper ' chips, it is so tasty and filling. Also excellent value!
Esta fue una gran parada. El ambiente era muy informal y la comida era deliciosa, sabrosa y no pesada. Incluso atendieron nuestras solicitudes sin gluten. El propietario es un anfitrión carismático. Definitivamente vendría aquí de nuevo. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Fish and chips encantador, el pescado era delicioso, un flakie no seco, los anfitriones fueron muy agradables. Fácil aparcamiento que bien merece la pena visitar, no te decepcionará. Esperamos nuestra próxima visita.
El mejor pescado y patatas fritas que he probado. Mick y Andrea son los anfitriones más acogedores y el lugar está impecablemente limpio. ¡Se van a hartar de vernos!
Gran restaurante local de pescado y patatas fritas con muchos de los adornos que a los ingleses les encantaban. Ambos dentro del comedor al aire libre.
