I just had Sunday lunch here, and I won’t be returning. All the vegetables were frozen, and the roast potato seemed to be pulled from the freezer before being tossed into the fryer. The beef tasted like it was from a packet, and the chicken breast was tough and rubbery. Nobody asked us if the food was satisfactory, but I mentioned my concerns to the waiter, who simply smirked in response. At £14 each, it felt like a complete waste of money. I had a wonderful dining experience with delicious food and a fantastic selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting, plus they welcomed my dog! I ordered the vegan burger, and it was the best I’ve ever tasted. The price per person ranges from £10 to £20. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars. I highly recommend trying the home-cooked chips and the burger with chips!
I visited this pub today for the first time in many years and was extremely pleased. It was very clean, warm, and welcoming. The staff were friendly and pleasant. Our lunch, along with the Baileys cheesecake, was delicious. It was so enjoyable to sit and savor our meal in a quiet atmosphere, with no loud, jarring music—what a refreshing change! I definitely want to return.

had a nice meal with son and daughter-in-law and new son-in-law to the father's day. the meal was excellent quality, well cooked and very tasty. they also have a good choice of meal times. we had a private area so that the child car was out of the way. the staff was very helpful, pleasant and attentive, without being intrusive. Thank you.
A fantastic host, delicious home-cooked meals, and generous portion sizes from a diverse menu. They offer great beers, wine, and spirits at excellent prices in a traditional old-style pub featuring a coal fireplace. I highly recommend paying a visit, and if you have a dog, feel free to bring it along!
Traditional and welcoming old pub. Good food, good selection of beers and all the staff are really friendly. Dogs are welcomed and there's a free water dispenser and bowls for the dogs, and a dog treat box.
