We have had the pleasure of staying at the Travellers Rest in the Nab View apartment for the second time. The accommodation is ideal for 2 couples, with both bedrooms having en-suite bathrooms. The apartment is tastefully furnished and decorated, equipped with everything needed for self-catering. The pub, located on the outskirts of Meltham, offers stunning views. The staff are friendly, approachable, and always willing to help with any issues. The pub serves fantastic beer from its own small brewery, including Timothy Taylor’s Landlord. This is the first time we have visited the travellers rest and it will be the last unfortunately. The pub it's self is lovely and well presented and has lots of potential but this is ruined by the extremely rude staff behind the bar, a simple question was answered with a rude and abrupt response. I assumed the first person I spoke to was just having a bad day but after ordering several drinks from different bad staff it's clear that rudeness is embedded within the culture. The staff would really benefit from some training around effective communication
During a short break in my hometown of Meltham, I stayed at a quaint accommodation with a friend and her young daughter. The place was charming, with top-notch amenities and everything one could need. Comfortable beds and excellent showers added to the overall feeling of coziness. The staff were friendly upon arrival and departure, and there were fantastic walking paths starting right outside the door, offering breathtaking views of the moors. I highly recommend staying here.
Travellers Rest in Meltham is a wonderful option when the weather is nice. The beer garden offers spectacular views of the farm land and Peak District. I visited on Easter Saturday when Rumpus burgers were being served in the car park - the food was excellent and perfect with a pint. The bar staff were friendly and worked efficiently as a team despite the busy day. I will definitely be returning when Rumpus is back again on jubilee weekend.

Always enjoy a visit to the the Travellers Rest Inn Meltham. But recently the bar flys at the end if the bar spoil the visit by the swearing that goes on. I feel this is very much a family Inn, but the language that comes from these customers is not conducive to a polite social evening. If this was to continue then we would take our custom elsewhere
Visited for the first time with family whilst the Roaming Rumpus was there and the pub itself was lovely but the staff are incredibly rude! We spoke to 4 staff in total whilst we were there, mainly whilst buying drinks at the bar and 3 of them were so rude and abrupt that I will not be visiting again unfortunately
Popped in for a few drinks and a burger on Good Friday. Was not disappointed! Staff friendly as ever, great service despite how busy it was. Topped off with a great burger. Always recommend Travs to people new to the area.
We visited on Good Friday and we’re really impressed with the friendly and efficient service despite it being really busy. Loved the outdoor space with its fantastic views. A great atmosphere. We will be back

Frequently visit the travs and I’ve never had a bad visit, the bar staff always make us feel welcome and the beer garden is great when the sun out. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area
