very dimming lighting. the server was a funny guy, but at the same time professional, so actually human for us. the drinks are well made with the right balance. the deenpot stickers were very juice, but not greasy. the most important courses were so full and tasteful. I've visited this restaurant a few times; my favorite being sitting outside in the summer with some summertime drinks and great company. This past visit was a great time but I took a star away for the overcooked ribeye. It looked like it was done perfectly, but what I mistook for char-grilled was actually burnt. Not that I am a steak connoisseur, but I do frequent great steak houses like Sullivan's and Ruth's Chris, so I do know the difference between charred and burnt. A few weeks ago, I traveled up from Florida to help my sisters bring our mom home for hospice care. Sadly, she passed away a few days ago. My sister, who has a disability, needed clothes for the wake and funeral, so on our way back home, we decided to stop at the Turf Room. Our mom loved their chicken farfalle pasta and short ribs, which reminded her of dishes her mother used to make—what a compliment! I was really impressed with the pork chop I had last night—its flavor was outstanding! I was slightly surprised that it didn't come with a side, as all the other dishes in that category did. I'm glad we ordered an appetizer; the duck wings were fantastic and had a great orange flavor. The service was decent, though the staff at the front were very welcoming. The Brussels sprouts were a bit of a disappointment as well. While they were good, I expected more from a classy place like The Turf Room, having had much better elsewhere. They tasted primarily of salt and pepper and could really be improved. On the positive side, the grilled veggies were delicious! Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience; we had a fantastic evening and enjoyed some delightful drinks. We will definitely return, but next time, I’ll skip the ribeye and Brussels sprouts.

before a few weeks I came out of florida to help my sister, bring our mother to home in the hospice and she died a few days ago, so my disabled sister needed clothes for the wake and funeral and on our way to home, we kept in the turf room because our mom loved the chicken color pasta and their short cakes were making us the people are awesome and I cannot thank them enough for such a gift to know that they really care!

Overall experience was very good. The main courses were great and worth it, the deserts missed the mark slightly overall but I would highly recommend the short ribs and the sous vied chicken were amazing.
