I had heard great things about this restaurant and my partner had visited before and had a positive experience. So, I decided to take her there for a birthday breakfast on Sunday, October 15th, 2023. When we arrived, we were initially told there were no tables available, but another staff member informed us that there was room in the outdoor tent-like facility. Once we were seated, we were told that we only had the table until 12:30. We didn't mind since we were only having breakfast and it was around 11:15 at that time. We have visited The Twisted Tree on many occasions both for breakfast and afternoon tea, it has never disappointed. Our most recent visit was for a birthday breakfast. Upon arrival we were sat in the main part of the restaurant which we find is always a little cramped so we asked to move into the conservatory part which the staff were very compliant with. The conservatory is much more spacious and has a lovely cosy vibe. There were 4 of us that visited the restaurant on this occasion. To drink, we ordered a tea, iced coffees (the iced coffees here are always lovely) and a latte. To eat, We had the bacon and maple syrup pancakes, pancakes with strawberries maple syrup and two small breakfasts...
I made a reservation for Christmas lunch at 1:00 pm but had to wait for my table to be ready. Eventually, I was taken to the Den, which had a good atmosphere. However, I was disappointed to learn that I could only order from the regular menu because I had not pre-ordered my food. Despite booking a Christmas lunch, I was told that someone had called me five days prior to ask for my food order, which I never received. If I wanted Turkey, I would have to wait an additional thirty minutes for it to be cooked, so we decided to stick with the regular menu. Reasonably priced, great portion size. It's been very busy both times we have gone definitely worth booking in advance. We had a look at the afternoon tea, and that looked brilliant although didn't try it. Steak sandwich fell apart pretty quickly the bread was delicious but not the most structurally sound! Chips were fantastic we were advised one portion was only enough for one person but there was definitely enough for 2. Overall, a good experience and would recommend for lunch.

Another delightful trip to Twisted Tree. Fabulous tasty croustini as part of our afternoon teas, we couldn't decide which I liked best. There were lots of cakes, huge scones and delicious brownies. Staff were pleasant and helpful even though it was busy. A great afternoon out with our friends. 7 pf use all served at the same time, perfect. Of course we'll be back .
Another fabulous breakfast at Twisted Tree, consistency been key to long term success and this place has got it nailed Great quality ingredients, well presented and served with a smile, what more could you want... oh yes the Halloumi fries, always a must when you visit !
I just left the Twisted Tree restaurant after a delicious three-course meal. The tacos were amazing and the chocolate orange chews ale was heavenly. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Thank you, we will definitely be returning.
We’ve visited here many times now and it’s a great place for breakfast. Good hot coffees served with non gf Croque Madame and gluten free avocado and eggs on toast with side order of bacon. Won’t be long before we’re back.

Our steak and chicken in our meals were both sightly overcooked...but it didn't spoil the meal ..very lovely..and the waitress came to apologise for our wait as they were busy serving a large table of guests.
Wow we have been here so many times . The service is Amazing , the breakfast is to die for the lunch and dinner is quality is perfect and every home cooked A real rare gem
