The Unicorn Bar And Restaurant At West End Inn

Decided on a whim to try The Unicorn. We had no idea what we wanted to eat but knew we wanted something new. Our host advised us and really took time to listen to what we liked before making recommendations and didn’t just choose for us the most expensive items. Actually the prices are more like take away prices than restaurant prices. The portions were plenty big enough. We had to box some up to bring home. The food was fresh and cooked very well. It really was some of the best Asian food we have had. Will certainly be back, but next time will walk as the atmosphere is nice, so to have more drinks and stay longer would be a pleasure.

I recently discovered this amazing restaurant and visited with my family tonight. It was conveniently located at a midpoint between us, and although it took us 90 minutes to get there, it was definitely worth the journey! The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and was happy to answer any questions we had. I have a very sensitive palate, so I requested that no pepper or chili be used in my meal. It was prepared beautifully and was incredibly delicious. All of the food was fresh and hot, cooked to order instead of being pre-prepared. We will definitely be coming back! The sesame prawn toast was the best I've ever had!

We visited as two couples and had a lovely evening. Our server (we didn’t catch her name) was absolutely lovely. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings as a starter (having had them before) but she recommended the wings from their Christmas menu and they were really good. When we ordered our main, she was really good at helping us find similar things to what we like that we hadn’t tried before. We enjoyed all of her recommendations and she made our evening very enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

I visited this restaurant based on a recommendation and was not disappointed. The staff was warm and friendly, and I ordered off the menu for an authentic Malaysian food experience. The portions were generous, so I had leftovers to bring home. I will definitely be returning with friends and family. Me and my partner regularly visit for the fantastic food, great value, lovely staff and the welcoming decor. It's our go to place of choice for a very good reason and we're very happy it exists! We've taken numerous friend groups and family members with us and they've always really enjoyed it as well. Can't recommend this place enough!

We've eaten in the restaurant a few times, however opted for a takeaway this time. Everything about my experience this time was amazing. The food came out really quickly. It was hot and extremely tasty and was very reasonably priced. I'm definitely making this a more regular thing.

Upon arrival, you are greeted warmly by Joyce. Everyone is treated equally at this restaurant. The food is excellent, with options to suit all tastes from spicy to mild. Joyce is happy to accommodate any dietary preferences - just ask her!

Amazing restaurant with really tasty food and welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend, especially the satay chicken.
