Order pomps and a pickle tray, can never get that wrong, pomps good, pickle tray very standard, order lamb chops to start, chops good, not much meat but nevertheless very nice with a charr, my main was a chicken tikka pathia, pathia was rubbish, probably one of the worst I have had in 20 years, the chicken wasn't tikka, probably thinking because I'm bald and had a few pints I wouldn't notice in the sauce that covered...
We haven’t been to this restaurant in quite some time and it certainly didn’t Let itself down. Unique as this Indian restaurant is in a train carriage signal box. We were quickly shown to our table upstairs and drinks were ordered, perfectly chilled Pinot for the girls and a draft pint of cobra for him.. starters ordered and no one was disappointed when they arrived, 2 bhuna prawn on purée and 1 spicy stuffed green pepper. A decent gap between courses and mains were delivered, on jalfrezi and 2 lamb palaks with onion pelau and peshwari garlic Nan all absolutely delicious. The food from this place is some of the best I have ever ate outstanding food, however there service is absolutely shocking shocking to the point we paid for the meal and just left I would expect this service at the local McDonald’s but tbh McDonald’s staff probably treat you better than this place do absolutely diabolical service for this reason I’d highly recommend going elsewhere unless you like terrible service
This restaurant was once considered one of the top Indian restaurants in the area. However, it seems to be coasting on its past reputation. The decor appears worn and outdated, and the quality of the food has declined. On a positive note, the service remains exceptional, but the establishment could greatly benefit from a much-needed makeover.

Fantastic!!! I love my food and this was one of the best curry's I've ever tasted! Miles better than any other restaurant in the north east!! The Pasanda was gorgeous. The waiters all so nice and attentive. Atmosphere lovely. My waiter was quite a gent . Will come back for more xxx
Table for 8, all ordered poppadoms, pickles, starters, mains, rice, shared naan breads and sides. All food tasted great, we did think the servings were small. Average prices. Service was slow and a bit hap hazard hence 4 stars. Out of the 8, none of us said we would return.
Wanted to say thanks for a special night.it was my daughters 40th birthday and despite the restaurant being crazy busy, the staff were wonderful and the food amazing. Special thank-you to the manager. We had a great night
I enjoyed the meal here interesting venue (though in a slightly random location), good quality meal an interesting option of a chicken keema was tasty and well spiced. Service is friendly too. Would recommend.

Don't go too late gets busy ,bit off the beaten track ,pub next door so easy to sit and wait but book in advance
