We were looking for something new in the Whitby area so we found the Vault. All looked well from the photos and the menu. I tried the beef brisket. Was hoping for something savoury and tasty, what came was bland unseasoned chunks of beef on a soggy bun. The presentation was horrible and the taste, well there was none. I ordered onion rings as a side and they were over seasoned with dill pickle flavouring. They tasted like a bag of dollar store chips. My wife’s french fries looked great, big meaty steak fries, but also over seasoned with the same dill flavoured ****. She ordered the pulled pork sandwich, it was OK, but nothing to rave about. I booked one of the vault rooms in advance, knowing this is a busy place. They have 2 private dining areas, that can accommodate 2 and 6 people. We were in the large room and it also had a fan and a T.V. Our server was super friendly and managed us crazy joking ladies in stride. We ordered the Fish Taco's, Caesar Salad, Chicken Club and the Turkey Burger. The Pub Fries were a hit with everyone. The Fish taco's were also raved about. The Turkey Burger was fabulous. This restaurant/pub is truly a hidden gem! My family and I went there for dinner for the first time and we were extremely impressed. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I ordered the Braised Brisket Dinner, one of us got the Elvis Burger, and the other had the Chicken Penne. Our server, Katrina, was very knowledgeable and helped us with recommendations. She also suggested the Kronenbourg 1664 Lager, which was excellent. I highly recommend checking out The Vault, it's a fantastic dining experience!
Four of us booked here on a Thursday. When we arrived the place was pretty empty and remained so for the duration of our stay. This was not a problem as we were there with friends to meet over lunch. The waitress could not have been more helpful and engaging. She explained the menu and which items weren’t available and why. Food and drinks were delivered quickly. The food is what you would expect, tasty and filling. The four of us for lunch and drinks came to $102. How can you beat it? Great value and service.
This is our favourite wing place ! Sunday’s and Mondays are 1/2 price wings And let me tell you the wings are so big and the sauces are amazing ! Orange crush is our favourite ! Along with Thai chili, honey garlic and medium with a little kick of spice ! Service is great too ! A must visit for other entrees too ! Try the Mac and cheese balls ! Delicious !
The Vault was fantastic and the staff were very welcoming. We began with the Mac and cheese balls before enjoying the fish and chips and the California club sandwich. The food was freshly prepared, served hot, and was absolutely delicious. We definitely plan to return as there are so many other menu items we want to sample.
First time there last Friday night JAN 13. Small place, great vibe. Apps dumplings pork tenders-jerk, entree chicken penne lobster pasta. All were excellent. I noted the lobster dish was a bit shy of lobster, kitchen topped it up no questions asked. Decent draft beer selection, service was very good. We'll be back.
The service was great and the food was incredible. We had the Chef’s burger and fish tacos. The person beside us had a Caesar salad that smelled so good that we asked for a small side to try it. And it did not disappoint. Everything was amazing. We highly recommend and would definitely eat here again.
Ate dinner here on a Saturday night. They have a great selection of beer. Really good cocktails, and the food was amazing. Got the chef's burger and the gyozas and both were well worth it. The server was really knowledgeable and nice. I definitely want to come back.
