Went today with my family for my 60th birthday lunch. Being refurbed atm so were in the bar instead of the lounge. Staff were welcoming and brilliant at their job. Food was fantastic as usual, today I had the surf and turf. The steak was chargrilled, cooked to a perfect medium which I asked for and soft and succulent. The scampi was soft and moist on the inside and crispy on the outside, chips were divine. A little gem of a place to eat and will be even better when decorating finished. Thank you for making our lunch so special.
Myself and my mother went for a meal last night, what a wonderful evening we had. We both had the sirloin steak with all the extras it was very tasty, cooked to our liking, couldnt of asked for a better meal. The staff went above and beyond for us, creating a wonderful welcoming environment. We can't wait to return thank you for making us so very happy. We left with the biggest smiles
We pulled here with the steam engines for a little road run and light refreshments, the food was very reasonably priced and the wait was only about 20 minutes for food to come out, the burgers where Fantastic very tasty, and the lasagne was very nice to, worth a visit only 1.2 mile from the seven valley railway, the staff where very friendly and accommodating.
Fantastic value on food and decent selection of drinks. The place has been turned round in recent years. This is our go-to place for Sunday lunch, always a good selection of quality meats, with well cooked veg and roasties. Somehow, I am always unable to resist a dessert.All with an added bonus of sport on tv.

The food was nice to be fair. Staff very friendly. Could so with a lick of paint and little clean. Sat at 24. There was dead fly in the window and tomato sauce up the walls. But staff was nice and very helpful
The bar staff were very helpful and polite The food we had was very good and the price was very reasonable. Called again different staff but the service was still as good as the first time.
Sean and his team are amazing, had a steak and rocky road pud, absolutely brilliant. Quiz night brilliant. Sean promotes such a good atmosphere
Really friendly staff, they make you feel welcome, amazing food! They treat everyone like family, truly an amazing pub!
