The Victoria - Tisch reservieren

We were “stuck” in Jericho due to being unable to move our narrowboat down the Thames. We went in here a number of times over the days we were here and every time we were made very welcome by the staff and the atmosphere was extremely relaxed at all times. Good selection of craft beers and whilst we didn’t eat here, the food looked excellent. The log fire was a great touch with the fireplace being bedecked in candles once the sun went down. Wonderful place !

This unique pub features a front terrace, back beer garden, and a split-level interior with a sunken bar, main bar area, and upstairs seating. They typically offer a selection of cask ales and it is a popular spot for students, although all are welcome. A standout feature is a beautiful painting on the ceiling of the upstairs room, a reminder of the previous tenant, Banks's Brewery.

The staff was friendly, the beer was good, but unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. The menu consisted mainly of pies with fries and a side salad, and the pies were particularly bad. The pastry was hard and dry, and there was not enough filling.

Hands down my favorite pub in Oxford. They are also whiskey nerds which helps. Their bourbon collection is pretty astonishing as well… they have fires in the winter, the back patio is great year round and has heaters. The Vic rules.

This charming pub in Oxford has a great aesthetic. The staff is friendly, and the drinks and food are delicious. The value for money is decent. I highly recommend it.
