Having had excellent food and service here numerous times over a number of years, we opted to book The View for our recent wedding. The food and service were excellent as always! The pre planning was excellent with good communication from the team. On the day, the front of house team were excellent professional and accommodating but also very warm! The food was once again exceptional and all guests confirmed this! We had a large table and the food was prepared and served smoothly, with no delays like you sometimes get with large groups. Passed on a walk with family and thought it would be nice to sit outside for breakfast. We all settled at a table and I wandered in for menus. Woman who looked in charge shrugged her shoulders and said 'we 've got nothing ' the place was half empty inside, plenty staff behind the bar and had only been open 15 minutes. The most unwelcoming, unfriendly (downright rude) response from anywhere I have ever visited. Why was there 'nothing ' do people pre order food? Was there not a bacon roll or even a cup of coffee to be had? This was a weekday. Absolutely ridiculous response and I felt humiliated. Will never step foot in this place again. Oh...and found out later the woman is actually the owner....
The staff at The View were extremely welcoming when we had our wedding breakfast with 24 guests. The aperitifs were delicious, and the first course of small haggis fritters was delightful. The irn bru sorbet that followed was fabulous, as well as the chicken, mashed potatoes with leeks, and vegetables, which were all very tasty. The meringue roulade was the perfect way to end the meal and was absolutely delicious. The View offers fantastic views through their windows and has a welcoming atmosphere that couldn't be better. My brothers wedding breakfast (dinner) was hosted by Steve and Karen at the View and I can only say everything was AMAZING! The food was to die for, the staff very friendly and the views over the Tay were fabulous! They went over and above to ensure everyone’s needs were catered for and honestly couldn’t have imagined any where better to celebrate. If you get the chance, I would highly recommend anyone takes the opportunity to enjoy a visit!

I had the pleasure of visiting The View for the wedding breakfast of my dear friends, Scott and Keith. The owners, Steve and Karen, hosted a truly special evening for our group with courses perfectly tailored to suit the guests and the grooms. The food was amazing. I was too busy enjoying it to take many photos, but trust me, this is a fantastic place for food and a wonderful venue for a special dinner.
We popped in for coffee/cake but then decided to have breakfast/ brunch instead. Fantastic place, friendly staff and delicious food. The view was not the best as it was a misty day but that didn't detract from our visit. Will definitely visit again.
We decided to take a family member out to celebrate a birthday. The food was amazing, well presented and thoroughly enjoyable. The wait staff were friendly and very efficient. It was great to see a local restaurant so busy on a Saturday evening.
The steak deal was amazing and the special starter was fantastic. The service, ambiance, and value were all excellent. And of course, the view is iconic, pun intended! A big thank you to Steve and his wonderful team.
