I noticed some mixed reviews about this restaurant, so I wanted to provide a detailed account of my experience. The view is truly beautiful, but to fully appreciate it, you'll need to sit close to the windows. Our fish and chips, priced at $26, were delicious—fresh and served hot. The chef even customized the fries for our children by cutting them into smaller pieces. In total, we spent $106, which included meals for four (two of whom were children) and five glasses of wine. I found this to be a reasonable cost for the overall experience. The staff were attentive and helpful, and the service was impressively quick. Simply put, in general dining experience it is average at most, but definitely MILES better than any of the other zoo eating options. Go here for the table service and a nice view if you are sitting outside. Staff were friendly, but menu options somewhat limited. We had the steak sandwich and some wine and it was perfectly fine way to keep us fuelled up for the beasts.
I received a wonderful birthday surprise from my husband, and this was the restaurant he chose. I absolutely loved the view, and the service and ambiance were excellent. The food we ordered—seafood pasta and grass-fed steak—was incredibly delicious. I loved everything about it!
The restaurant offers a lovely elevated view of the harbor and bridge, along with a great selection of dishes at reasonable prices. It's the perfect spot for lunch while visiting the zoo. I highly recommend it!

DJ'd here last week at The View for a lovely wedding reception. Staff were friendly helpful. Food was amazing. There is an amazing view of the harbour. Couple had their ceremony close-by at Bird Amphitheatre.
