If you were born before 1980, don 't bother coming here. The staff was rude when they were not ignoring us. The first round of beer was okay, but on the second, the beer tasted like the glasses weren 't rinsed out completely. When I went to the bar to tell them (since the waitress was ignoring us, we had to get our own drinks), the bartender pretty much blew me off. I barely got to say This beer tastes funn... . We left, paying for beers that were undrinkable. Unless I can go back to being 25 again, I will never set foot in The Local again
been waiting a whole year for the apple harvest salad and apple cider sangria and it was truly worth the wait : Had Kaylie as our waitress the other night she is a pleasure! Do not lose that girl or Sean (who has waited on us twice before . They are both assets to your company!! The only thing i would say could have been better was the pierogis, they were not as good as the last time we had them. Otherwise, the fig flat bread, fries, harvest salad were alllllll delicious. Thanks for always being on point :
Just returned from the city and wanted to grab a beer before heading home. My uncle recommended The Local right next to the train station. I appreciated the train station décor inside and the interesting variety of beers on tap. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. However, the place feels a bit sterile—it doesn 't feel as comfortable or cozy as I 'd hoped. Price per person: $20–30
We visited from Alabama and had the best time here! Drinks were good, our bartender Marley (may have butchered that spelling) was so friendly, and the tex mex bowl was out of this world! I seriously can’t believe how delicious it was! We will definitely be back every time we visit.

Really good food and friendly service, right next to the Babylon LIRR station. Nice open windows on a beautiful day. Cocktails were also refreshing!
Food, with presentation, was really very good. Waitstaff service was professional and accommdating. Overall a decent place to dine!
