This place is awesome! I was looking for a place to host my birthday at after Covid ruined having one last year. After getting jerked around at other potential venues I remembered that a lady friend who is very hard to impress had mentioned this is her favorite bar in LA so I went in to ask if it was a possibility. Flash forward, Vincent the owner turned out to be the coolest most welcoming guy and set me up with the best birthday party I’ve ever had: He set us up in their private area in the back that spills out into the main bar so you get the best of both worlds and he had the bartender make some special drinks to serve just for my party, themed after my personality and printed on a pictu...
Finally tried this place. We got there 15 minutes before closing, and they allowed us to order. We didn’t know they close early. Anyways, our server was very understanding and accommodating. The place itself is very retro. Great vibe. Decor is definitely nostalgic. Has a diner feel to it. Great music playing too. I had the patty melt. Made with Kobe beef. It didn’t really fit the sandwich. It was kinda small. So, basically more bread than anything. Not to impressed. Not much flavor. My friends had the hot chicken sandwich and the chicken club on a waffle. They both said theirs was yummy. We also ordered some Mac and cheese. I tried the Mac and cheese. Intimit and dark Hollywood bar with a long history in LA loure. Visited during happy hour and had a great experience with both food and drink. We had the loaded potatoes, spicy wings, chicken tacos, and fries. All were top notch, though the wings were not as spicy as billed. Decor was updated during COVID, so modern touches and comforts await patrons. The sound system is full and surrounding, spread out so there isn't a need to have loud and quiet spots that would interfere with your typical conversation level.
Met up for breakfast with some friends on my last day in LA. Ordered the Wee Waffle Flight because I couldn't decide which waffle to order. It included three mini waffles, red velvet, tres leches, and lemon blueberry. They were all DELICIOUS. The waffles were perfection, so light and fluffy. Neat little restaurant. Great staff and food was very good. I will warn you. Sticker shock. I know everything in California is expensive but our breakfast was over $100. Being from the South East, staff brought the kitchen staff out to here my wife say Merry Christmas to y’all
You think you understand. But you don’t. This place is excellent. Periodttttt. We came back again while in Hollywood because it was so delicious. Honestly, you need to order the Buffalo hash browns. Heaven in our mouths.
Server was great! Decor was very fun! My food was very bland, sadly. I had the breakfast Pot Pie. My friends seemed to enjoy but not rave about the food. So Mayne I just ordered the wrong thing.
