We have been here several times over a number of years. Tonight however placed at the wrong table, told there was no Merlot but apparently there was, the Rioja was fine though. Told coffees would be free as compensation of move. We were then asked...if we would like our starter and main together, odd? Food was fine. As we had finished our bottle I went to the bar and asked for two more glasses of Rioja, to be asked is that a red wine, and the bar staff even produced the wrong type of wine. At this point the table numbers were again transposed. On paying the bill, Manager queried free coffees and was quite belligerent about the fact. Obviously staff training required.
We stopped by this restaurant for a quick drink during a long walk, but ended up staying for a while. They have a great selection of beer and the food was also delicious. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the beers, and even suggested some unique options. We will definitely be returning to this place regularly. Thank you for making our visit enjoyable.
Stayed at The weir for 4 nights,the whole place was very tired needed a good make over.Bedroom was ok needed abit more of a clean on the daily basis.We eat 2 nights there surprised the food was good and the breakfasts were fine.But needed a...little more variety what you could choose from in morning. On the brighter note all the staff were friendly and helpfull .
The hotel is a bit off the beaten track, and you do wonder as you drive down the road as to whether you are on the correct road. Quaint place besides the river comfortable seating inside or out. No table service inside or out, everything...has to be done at the bar. The food served was ok nothing special just typical pub grub, served in a great location . Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We had a wonderful family dinner at this restaurant. The food was amazing, especially the cakes. I haven't had a torte in years and this one was delicious (asparagus and mushroom). Everything was served hot, fresh, well-cooked, and with a smile by the staff.
excellent service. the personal was very nice. we were asked to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Eating was excellent. the room was really nice. with a large bathroom. very comfortable bed. we are staying here definitiw.
Lunchtime pub meal no burgers! Not off to a good start Food when it came was average. I did expect better Batter on fish undercooked, peas a bit dried up cheap peas I thought) Beer/larger was good Spanish lagers on tap

Very tired and uncared for appearance, poor cleaning, most staff friendly. Will not be returning in a hurry, would not recommend.
