We've purchased a great selection of fine breads, pastries, etc. from The Wellington Bakery and live about 5 minutes walk from our house. It's like living in France and going down to your local bakery for bagette, fresh buns, etc. The owner knows how to...do it right and has a German background. We they day Fresh, they mean Fresh. I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone.
I didn't see too many of the treats mentioned elsewhere in the reviews. But I was going for bread, and they certainly had that. I was a bit horrified that my sourdough was put in a plastic bag that ruins bakery bread quickly because...the trapped humidity spoils the crust quickly. So minus one for that, but otherwise speedy and friendly.
I have always enjoyed this shop and especially like the sausage rolls. The bread is always fresh and often warm from the oven. Staff is very friendly and helpful and definitely a great place to stop and pick up a lunch for a day at...the beach. It also happens to be right next to an LCBO which is handy for a picnic on the beach.
We make sure to visit this place every time we are in the area. The baking here is seriously great, especially the steam bread. We have tried numerous menu items and have never been disappointed. This bakery is located beside the LCBO. We tried their blueberry pie and it was fantastic - the homemade crust was amazing and the filling was fresh. We arrived later in the day so there was not as much selection, but the quality was still top-notch.
During our trip to PEC, we made a stop at this restaurant towards the end of the day. There were only a few items left on the menu, but the dishes we ordered were fantastic! We will definitely be returning to try their croissants next time.
their croissants are flaky, not cakes like, but flaky and buttery as croissants should be. the best croissants this side of the atlantic and as good as anyone I had in Europe.
joe makes freshly baked brot and baked daily. good small batch bakery with European note. there the apfelstrudel is amazing and he also has good lunch. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I go at least once a week for brot, croissants, Danish. joe bakes the most delicious pecan tarts. love his brains pie and lasagna too, everything!
