So went to this pub on my daughter’s 18th birthday! We picked this establishment because we wanted to celebrate as a family. We ordered our first round of drinks without any issues. We were a party of 6 adults one 16 year old and one 7 year old! We went to order another round of drinks at the bar while we chatted and were told that “we can’t serve you any more alcohol unless you order food!’ We always planned to order food just spent time chatting, catching up with family! We went to the bar and ordered food 4 sharing platters and 2 meals! When we went to order drinks at the Bar and again we were told NO!!! You didn’t order a full meal for everyone so they still wouldn’t serve us alcohol!!!...
The reason I am giving this place 2 stars is only because the food is decent. Where do I start with the rest! My husband had to get cleansing wipes to clean the shelving in the booth we sat at, as the dust was so thick. Don 't the cleaners clean that, as it 's the first thing you notice in the booths at the wall? Secondly, I ordered a strawberry gin from their fancy sounding gin list , I ordered a double but doubt if that was a double , it was packed with ice and 2 bits of lemon, no colour in the gin. However I drank it since it was gin . But decided to order a pink gin served with strawberries hoping this would be better but it looked no different from the first rubbish. I asked the waitres...
A group of seven people visited Wetherspoons Kilmarnock for dinner on a Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It is rare for a group of that size to all enjoy their meals without any complaints. The restaurant offers a good selection of vegetarian dishes, which is not common in many places. The macaroni cheese and chips are recommended for vegetarians, as it is always good. The Mediterranean salad is also a good option and suitable for vegans. The food is served promptly, unlike some restaurants where you may feel like leaving and getting takeout due to long wait times. I visited this place with friends who had recently arrived from Scandinavia, popped in for a few drinks, and decided to order food for all we were a group of six). After finishing our meal, and clearing our own table of used plates, cutlery and empty glasses, one of our party went to the bar to order another round of drinks.,only to be told we would not be served any more drinks from the bar!. I asked to speak to the person in charge, and she told me we were being too noisy and out of order. Unbelievable!!!, after spending almost 3 hours in this place, and spending upwards of £100we were told NO MORE . We will never again visit this place, DISGUSTED. And to add we are all 65 plus!!!!! Came here today after some go karting with my family. A lot of the tables were left a mess (plates,cups still on them) the staff at the bar literally watched us waiting for ages to order food and it tane 2 yes 2 members of staff to put a bottle of wine in a ice bucket!! Whole time we’re waiting for ages…. I personally work in a bar and it certainly doesn’t take 2 members of staff to do this! Then stand and talk to each other while there’s customers waiting? The food arrived and was nice hence my rating but the mess of the place and the staff are a let down and I highly doubt I’ll be back in a hurry anytime soon.
Visited here a couple of days ago (Monday) after a visit to the hospital and came in for breakfast the breakfast itself was absolutely delicious and was that good I forgot to take a picture!! The place was rather busy and I was extremely impressed with the female behind the bar (very petite red/black hair and glasses) she was completely alone behind the bar while a manger ran the food the young girl was like an octopus pouring two pints at a time taking breakfast orders she definitely was extremely impressive! (Well done you) the restaurant was also clean and tidy!
Went in here just after a gig at local theatre, just after 10pm, just for a few drinks. Place very quiet for a Saturday night. Tried to find a table, and without exaggerating, there was hardly a table that didn't need cleaned, or had food or napkins lying underneath them, and probably had for hours by the looks of it. I'm a huge fan of spoons, but this must be the worst one in the area.

The staff is unhelpful and terrible. The quality of the food has declined. The only positive aspect of the restaurant is its drink menu.
