After visiting this pub which has been one of our regular places to go over past few years and always had great service from past staff, my partner and I received such bad and unprofessional service from the manager (worse the pub has ever had I have to say), that I had to warn other people. My partner complained about a drink which the manager refused to put right saying the bar was closed. We had planned to go somewhere else and this was a spur of the moment decision. Our waitress was Izzabelle who is a wonderful young lady, she was very patient as some of us made a few alterations to our meals, nothing was too much. She was very friendly and accommodating. I just wanted to take this opportunity to give a shoutout to Izzabelle. We were also attended to by Tammy who was great too and very warm and friendly. I did make a comment thinking she was the manager because she had an air of being management. I booked a table for a group of 14 art friends at this restaurant. Despite never having been there before, I was pleasantly surprised by the service, which was efficient considering our large party. Everyone enjoyed their meals, which all arrived together except for two people who were given a complimentary dessert. The staff recommended the Sunday roast, so I made a reservation for my daughter's birthday with 10 guests. Unfortunately, the Sunday roast was not as good as expected, and I regret not choosing from the regular menu instead. I may return for lunch in the future, but I will not be ordering the Sunday roast again.
Three of us went for lunch on a nostalgic visit and we were impressed by the improvements made to the Pub over the years. Apart from the overall ambience we were pleased to be greeted by cheerful staff who were keen to be helpful. The beer was well kept and the food was plentiful and very reasonably priced. Each of us had a different dish and one was vegetarian. All were delicious.

I recently celebrated my 77th birthday at The Wheatsheaf and it was an amazing experience. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the food was delicious. Our waitress took great care of us, making sure we had everything we needed, including refilling our drinks. It was a memorable birthday spent with loved ones at a pub that provided a first-class experience.
This was a third visit for a lunchtime meal. The menu is quite reasonable and the food is good value for money. The staff were attentive and professional. The overall decor is a little jaded in the daylight but I suspect this appears much better during an evening of live music.
We celebrated my wife's birthday with a great lunch in November and now we have returned last Friday for my birthday. 24 of us enjoyed a superb lunch served expertly by friendly people. The food quality was amazing and fhe atmosphere excellent. Thank you!
Popped along here with friends straight after it re-opened and was impressed with the socially distanced set up and hygiene measure put in place. It was great to get out again and good to see this venue open again.

We reserved a table for 30 people to celebrate my parents' diamond anniversary. The food was excellent, especially considering the large group size.
