I'd love nothing more than to say that my experience was great.....I wanted it to be great....I was willing it to be great. But it's the detail that makes it great. The ambience is amazing, a busy, full restaurant, beautifully decorated and operating with good...covid protection measures in place. Great Gin menu to kick us off and some lovely appetisers a lovely touch as great to be able to have a nibble whilst waiting. Staff helpful, attentive [perhaps a little overly so] and great menu. I'd say that for the main part the food was pretty good our guests seemed to enjoy it. But for the good to great bit...... 1. Table really sticky not sure what the problem is but I'd really suggest investin...
We were recommended to visit this restaurant by friends. Sadly and it grieves me, but we were very disappointed. We went in as the place opened at 1000hrs and ordered 3 Full English breakfasts. Now mindful that we were the only people in the restaurant,...all 3 meals came out on cold plates and to boot the food was cold too. I am not even convinced that it was all freshly cooked. What the chef was thinking, goodness knows. He must have been aware! The waiting staff were pleasant and to be fair our bill was reduced. Frankly, the situation should not have occurred! We always give a place a 2nd chance, but it will not be for a while.
We booked for a group of 20 to celebrate a special occasion. We had a lovely private room which was very atmospheric. The place is quirky and different but in a lovely way, friendly and full of character. The food was fantastic and service was...great. The party had to be rearranged 3 times due to covid, and Jane was fantastic each time. The service was great. Really we could not find fault with anything and everyone had a really enjoyable evening. Many thanks to all the staff there for helping make it a special occasion
This was our first time at The Opposite, so we didn't know of any great dog-friendly eateries. We stumbled upon The Doll and The Pickle and we were so glad we did. We had a delicious lunch at a very good price, with hot, fresh, and flavorful dishes. The staff were friendly and attentive to all customers, even welcoming dogs with water. The decor was fun and relaxing. We will definitely return if in the area again, and highly recommend a visit. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
four of us went to dinner and were really impressed. spoilt for the choice on the menu we wanted one of all! the food that arrived (in generous portions) looked good and tasted delicious. the service was friendly and attentive, but we were not rushed. we will definitely be back in the opposite and would recommend.
What a cracking place to eat. Found this by accident when visiting Holmfirth. Lovely ambience friendly staff and good food cooked really well. The staff were top notch and the food came out piping hot. There's plenty of choice for vegetarians and carnivores alike. We...will definitely eat here again. Thank you.
that was our first time here, which meant to go for the old one. we were very impressed by the quirky decoration. the staff was very attentive and friendly. that was delicious. the menu is very kreatiw and imaginatiw and tasted just as well. we will. definitiw return.
