What a delightful little pub. it seems very popular with locals, and passersby alike, a pub grub menu with all the favourites. The drinks and food are fairly priced with decent portions. The pub has a small but nice layout, with not one, but two log fires, great for a winter's night, it also has a nice little garden, which in the summer would be great to take advantage of. But for me above all this, the very friendly warm welcome you receive, is what I'm sure makes this such a popular place. If you want good food, a warm fire and friendly people, you won't go far wrong choosing this great pub.
The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere, mouth-watering food, and the owners are always friendly and welcoming! What more could you ask for? Thank you Catalin and Anca! The average cost per person is £30–40, with a rating of 5 for both the food and service. The recommended dishes include Sunday Roast, Fish and Chips, Roast Beef, Chickenburger, Chicken Wings, and Chocolate Brownie. There is plenty of parking available, with free parking in the lot.
Outstanding- out of the way pub in a nice setting, friendly welcome and good busy atmosphere on a weekday lunchtime. Varied menu of pub classics more refined choices- confit duck , pork belly and alao steaks. Attentive table service and food arrived in good time and was memorable. Good seasonal desserts, roaring fires, local beers , this is a must go destination, very happy that we finally visited .
Quick service, interesting menu, really tasty food. Although busy, they don’t seem rushed, got served quickly, drinks arrived quickly, just how it should be really. Doesn’t feel crammed, liked the interior, big log burner going, so overall really enjoyed the visit. Salt and pepper squid with delicious salad. Roast beef Cheese board Perfect Sunday!
Very surprised to see such an interesting menu for a small country pub. There's a proper experienced chef here who knows what he's doing. I'm going back soon as I can. The locals know all about this excellent place. Fire in the grate Very welcoming.
We are tradesmen working around the corner for a few months and the treatment is excellent. Beers ready on time everyday at lunch. Lovely people. The foods the best pub food I’ve ever had. One of the best pubs in southern England.
Had a wonderful meal from the festive menu. The staff were attentive, service was quick and the food was really really good. Fires were roaring and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend for food or just a quick drink.
