We visited for breakfast at 9am today. My daughter and I were out for a drive and spotted this little gem of a pub. We were greeted at the door and shown to our seat near the bar.... The lady gave us a choice of where to sit. After a short wait of about 10 minutes, our breakfasts arrived. On first glance my large breakfast didn't look large but it was large enough! My food looked like a work of art, beautifully presented and lovely taste too, perhaps the nicest full English breakfast I have had in many a year..... Even the tea I ordered was nice. The staff were lovely and the lady who took our order told us a bit about the pub.... Built in 1703 and had an extension etc... All interesting inf...
A spoilt Mother! Rather than go out for Mother’s Day lunch we opted for a meal the night before purely by recommendation. I loved every minute, car park almost full at 7pm but we found a spot, lots of guys in bar watching the rugby, how nice to find a village pub that still had a proper casual bar, I pre booked a table by the log burner in the old cottage style second bar for a meal although there is also a lovely trendy restaurant just a few steps up, well it was a treat from start to finish, delightful lady behind the bar, all staff were lovely, meal such good value and a menu to suit all tastes, I think this may be my new local thank you all at The White Horse well recommended.
I love this place. Great, great food, cosy atmosphere and Dan, the lovely, friendly bar person. When we're late home and can't be bothered to cook, this is the place to come. Its cosy, clean and homely. Tonight I had the Risotto with mushroom, black garlic, truffle oil and garlic bread. Very tasty, well presented and filling. OH went for the burger. He was very happy and it almost beat him...almost! So happy this place is so close.
The food is always very good here and we have been a good few times now so it must be good! On the most recent visit, we felt the service was less good! We ordered a drink but it didn’t arrive so we reminded our waitress and it came eventually! It happens and you can’t fault the friendliness of the staff. The restaurant has had redecoration since we were last there and it looks better with more comfortable chairs too! Still good!

It has been a few months since our last visit to this restaurant, so we were excited to return for lunch. We were not disappointed - the experience was just as excellent as we remembered. Whether dining with friends, family, or by ourselves, the quality of the food and service has always been top-notch. Whether it's lunch, Sunday lunch, or dinner, this place never fails to impress.
We had a very comfortable and cozy stay at this restaurant. The room was beautiful, clean, and pleasant. The pub had a cozy atmosphere and the staff were excellent. The dinner in the restaurant was fabulous, with a superb 3-course meal and great service. Breakfast was just as good as dinner. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning in the future.
We have eaten here on a few occasions and last night did not disappoint. It was my 69 birthday and together with two friends the four of us had a superb meal only made more enjoyable with the excellent service which was attentive but not overbearing. The surroundings are also very welcoming. Thank you once again the all the staff at the White horse
Very warm and welcoming. Very busy but staffed appropriately. Good menu inc vegan and GF options. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. Table service excellent. A very very good Sunday dinner.

We just recently found this pub, and it definitely serves the best roast dinners in the area! The White Horse is the perfect spot for a laid-back lunch in a cozy atmosphere.
Popped in for lunch with our grown up daughters one of the nicest lunches we’ve had for ages! Super good food and super service! Well done
