We had a wonderful experience with the owner, John, as we sampled his wines, olives, and olive oils. We ended up spending quite a bit, but we're still savoring the Wicked Virgin products. The wines are finely crafted and refreshing, while the olive oils are rich and full of flavor, offering both spicy and mild options to please every taste. The interesting architecture of the building, paired with excellent service and lively conversation, made our visit both lengthy and delightful.
This is the ideal spot for olive, olive oil, and wine tasting—there’s truly something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the sparkling Shiraz and the Miner's Daughter wine. The exquisite olive oil was also hard to resist! Plus, Charlie, the resident cockatoo, made our visit even more memorable. It's hard to believe he’s over 80 years old!
Only stopped here on a bike ride on the rail trail. Purchased some lovely olive oil, hubby a ginger beer and we said hello to the resident sulphur crested cockatoo named Charlie who is apparently older than me and was evicted from the Sydney zoo for foul language. The owners were friendly and the dining area was warm and inviting.

Had a lovely lunch out on the lawn. Town was bustling but this little gem was so quiet. Wine (The Kimberley) was so good we picked up some more to drink at home.
Amazing food, delicious wines and all locally sourced/grown produce. Definitely recommend a visit if you're ever in Rutherglen.
