Our recent experience at The Wickets was incredibly disappointing. The service was shocking, and our waitress was quite rude. When the food arrived, it was lukewarm at best, and some items were clearly reheated, including hard chips served on cold plates. To make matters worse, I found two hairs in my food, and my chicken pie was also lukewarm. It took under five minutes to replace it, suggesting it had just been microwaved. The desserts were no better, with our orders mixed up and a cold pie served to us. I recently celebrated a family birthday lunch at this restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience! The food and service were exceptional, and I would definitely recommend the pizza. I ordered the surf and turf, which was absolutely delicious. It seems to be quite popular, so I'd suggest making a reservation online. Although the website doesn’t display the entire menu, there’s a wonderful selection of tasty dishes available. The price per person is around £10–20. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5!

The food was wonderful and plentiful, but the drink selection was quite limited and disappointing. There weren’t many options available, and some of the drinks were not very appealing at all. In the photos, two sandwiches were missing.
