Invited a couple of family friends for food at the willow house as id heard ok things about it. The bar staff were friendly and served our drinks as any other bar staff would. I orded food. Starters Scotch egg, Halloumi and nachos. Starters were good, although only 3 pieces of halloumi on a bed of salad was disappointing. Now, the mains, we ordered a burger with cheese, loin of pork with crackling and the chicken supreme. For context, the chicken supreme should be stuffed with dried tomatoes, pesto and cheese with a pesto sauce, sounds delicious right? It came like a roast dinner, smothered in gravy, no pesto sauce, served with soggy left over vegetables and potatoes that had barely any pota...
Stayed overnight at the Willow House. Met with wonderful hospitality and excellent bar staff. We stayed for an evening meal and all 4 in the party were impressed with the food served. Service was impeccable and this was also the case (after a VERY comfortable sleep) with breakfast served the next morning. Our chef (John) could not be more accommodating and every request was catered for and could not praise the breakfast enough. Will definitely stay whenever we are in this area and more than happy to recommend this great pub, restaurant, b&b to everyone
What a gem! We booked and stayed last minute, the room was clean and of a great standard. The owner and staff were very accommodating, even allowing us to park our motorbikes in the beer garden (so on hard standing, sheltered and overlooked by a Ring doorbell). The food and drinks were equally good. All round excellent establishment.

Our table for two was literally in a corner so we both had to face the wall. Food was mediocre. Steak was tough and pasta bland. Set ice was good and friendly.
