The Wingfield Arms, Montford Bridge

Perhaps the owners are new and they are still trying to get established. We were the only diners that lunch time. The food appears to be bought in and included oven chips and frozen peas. The fish, gammon and scampi were over cooked and the batter on the fish was soggy. It was served on cold plates.I should have said something at the time but it was a social occasion and I could not bring myself to make a complaint. Two days a later we had lunch at a pub less than miles away where the food was excellent but the price was the same.I note that the Wingfield Arms also does a Sunday lunch, perhaps that is better

We thought we would Give it a go for Sunday lunch we arrived on time and was taken straight to our table we then waited for the staff to fill the selection of veg and pots the meat was put on cold plates that tipped me up and then it was all cold I wasn't the only person another family said the same I took it was the owner who came across and asked was it ok and I told him no I there was no real apologies so we won't bother going again if they expect people to pay 11.99 for each for a lunch Like that no thanks I knew it was a carvery but keep it hot for God sake

Thought that we'd The Inn a try. Sadly not the best of decisions suspect the food was frozen as opposed to fresh, certainly the fish was.Been previously for Sunday lunch which was fine.Maybe that we were the only table having lunch spoke volumes

A lovely setting by the river with ample dining space. The staff were very friendly and helpful and a good selection despite a changeover of menu meant some dishes were unavailable. The meals were a good size and delicious Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

They didn't have what we wanted on the menu. service was very slow it took one hour minutes for a main course and a pudding.food seemed expensive for what we had and small portions.There are better places to eat

visit during our holiday locally and the waitress daughter of the chef I believe was even friendlier and more cheerful than the first waitress and that was a high level to match! Lovely place and lovely food

I've eaten here twice and on both occasions the staff have been extremely helpful and courteous. The food is cooked from fresh but you still don't have to wait to long, nothing is too much trouble
