The Salt and Pepper chips used to be amazing and over the last few times I have ordered them I have been disappointed. I was going to order from a different take away last night but thought I’d give the wok another chance, when ordering I explained how I had been disappointed with the chips recently and if they could try to make them a little bit better.. well they came and they was the worst ones yet my friend had come to visit had she not of been there I would of rung back up to complain.. Will not be ordering from here again.
When will I learn not to go to this awful place? Had bad meals before but never this bad. Egg fried rice was crunchy, salt and pepper chips were just greasy chips with chopped onion and a few chilli flakes but the worse was the chicken. Took a bite and instantly could taste it was off. After spitting it back out that was the end of my meal, unfortunately my daughter ate more and was I'll for 2 days after. Did I complain? What's the point!!! Nothing changes when you do so I for one won't be returning.
Live near this Chinese and have tried many times before lockdown so was really looking forward to meal tonight . Totally disappointed the crispy chilli beef was like gluten , purple coloured and no sign of beef in the skinny strips of batter. My husband had the special sweet and sour and that was disappointing too. The salt and pepper chips were bits and pieces and not a chip amongst them and dry with little taste or onion. Never again
Worst Chinese I’ve ever had, in fact it’s probably the worst food I’ve ever attempted to eat. Crispy chilli beef was vile no meat anywhere to be seen just horrid tasting batter. Salt n pepper chips were just normal chips with chilli flakes and raw onion, egg fried rice had no egg in it.... even the prawn crackers were like eating sawdust! Clearly the reason they only take cash is so they don’t have to refund for disgusting ‘food’

Waited for order of chicken breast and chips, so thought the food would be nice and fresh. How wrong were we. The chicken was like trying to eat leather. Chips were no better, a lot of solid end of potato bits and the rest were soggy and barely warm. Do not recommend. Oh and only accepted cash.
Although the takeaway service was friendly the food was honestly awful. Chicken seemed boiled and the sauce was poured over afterwards. Bland food with no resemblance to Chinese and packed with salt which kept us up all night drinking water. Probably the worst ‘Chinese’ meal I have ever eaten.
We phoned up for a delivery and the lady on the phone was lovely: she allowed us to swap an item from the set menu with no bother at all. The food arrived early and was piping hot too. The soup, mixed starter and main dishes were all delicious! We will definitely be ordering again.
Yesterday we had our 4th delivery of Chinese food from the Wok. This is now our Go to Chinese for takeaways Without a doubt the best in Cheshire. It truly is takeaway meals at restaurant standard Brilliant food and delivered with a smile We 're hooked

Have tried The Wok multiple times since moving nearby a few months ago and have always had a great experience. We had the food delivered for the first time this evening and it arrived piping hot and it was all delicious.
