I stopped by The Wood Shed, to pick up an order for my wife and I. I had not placed the order in advance, but my order was taken, fulfilled, and given to me in a very timely manner. For my wife, was a BBQ Plate (Pork), with slaw and baked beans, and for myself, was the Good Golly Tamales meal. We both enjoyed our meal at home. Food quality and flavor were great. The place was not packed, but there were people at several tables, and I thought I'd be there longer than I was. Have been there before, and will be going back. Traveling through on vacation. Staff greeted us, gave us menu and drink cup and said seat ourselves. Did not tell us to return to register for ordering so it felt awkward sitting at the table waiting for someone to come take our order. I finally got up and asked what to do. Food arrived at table quickly, was all delicious, potato salad absolutely the best I’ve had! Loved everything about this place. I have had BBQ all over the country. The meat is smoked the BEST I have had to date. And I can assure you that I have had some good BBQ. Cole slaw is fantastic as well. The Pine Knot is great. Next time I come in, I will be getting the Burnt Ends Dinner. Awesome bbq sandwich. Chopped white meat. Choice of two sauces. I used both, edge wise as I ate the sandwich. Table service was great. I would go out of my way to eat here. Meaning I will be back. They gave me burnt chocolate fried pies and always forget Cole slaw they need to be there to watch the employee good grief you would think owners would look after the business and make sure people get what they pay for
