I went to this restaurant on December 31st for a family gathering to celebrate New Year's Eve. We wanted to treat my mum to a meal after a rough year. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for our food. The chips were cold and had potato eyes on them. My mum ordered a well-done steak, but it came out pink and seemed like it had just been quickly cooked under a flame, tasting like charcoal and being stone cold. The tomato was also hard. Despite the poor quality of the food, we didn't complain that night because the restaurant was busy and my mum had already started eating. Was my first today at this pub and My experience was horrible!! First the lady who got my order was in a bad mood. Secondly we wait 45min to get our food ! When 30min passed I asked for my food and the waiter said that they were defrosting the fish fingers! Seriously?!? After 10 minutes they brought me the fish fingers and I told him that we asked for nuggets NOT FISH fingers. After 5 minutes they brought me the nuggets kids meal but this time with peas when I asked baked beans arghh!!! ahhh and of course they forgot to bring my 2 sides. I had to ask for that and they brought it within 5 minutes after 45 min waiting... Ridiculous. I've should asked for a refund. Very disappointed.
My wife and I, with our daughter visited this great pub/restaurant for lunch and we were really impressed with the welcoming atmosphere and the menu. My wife has a couple of allergies which were efficiently and sensitively dealt with by James the chef and our friendly efficient waitress Kate. The manageress J.J. personally made sure everything was up to standard. The food was excellent and in spite of the special requests due to my wife's allergies was speedily served. We will certainly be eating here again and would highly recommend the establishment and dining experience.
We held the wake for Anthony Hilliard , at The Woodman , last week . It was a great venue as we had about 40 people . The staff were attentive to all our needs . Took my boys for some dinner and it was steak night and my boys love a bit of steak and OMG!!! was amazing I highly recommend super friendly staff and quick service also a dog friendly pub which is a massive plus. We will come back again
I recently acquired a second property in Ashtead due to my job in London. I always enjoy having a drink at this pub, which is just a short walk away. The staff are fantastic and I always enjoy chatting with them!
The staff at this restaurant are amazing and the atmosphere is great! I came here with a friend for some drinks on a Friday night and the staff were extremely helpful.
