We stayed here with our son and partner on November 27. The weather was awful en route but as soon as we arrived we received such a warm welcome from Ged, an absolute asset to the pub. He took us up to our room and...was so friendly. Our room was really nice and had a great double shower. We had our evening meal in the restaurant and the four of us really enjoyed it. Afterwards we retired to the bar lounge in front of a cosy fire. Next morning we were spoilt for choice at breakfast with huge portions. Delicious. Ged was on hand again and was so polite and courteous. My son took his dog and she was made very welcome by the owners. Highly recommended
Very disappointed with our visit for my dads birthday, the size of the pate portion was an utter joke served with 3x massive slabs of toast.3 guests had the steak pie which just looked like stew on a plate with a rock hard piece of...over cooked pastry on top never even been in any kind of pie dish ! The chips they served where old and rock hard uneatable .no follow up service to ask if everything was ok natt our waiter was a really pleasant guy and did serve us very well it wasn’t his fault the food let the evening down I definitely won’t be going back and I recommend they learn how to make a pie or take it off the menu
While on a work trip, we chose to dine at a pub instead of a standard chain hotel and were thrilled to find this hidden gem. The pub is located in a beautiful setting and the staff were extremely accommodating, keeping the bar and kitchen open late for us. The rooms were stunning and the food was excellent. I would definitely return for a weekend getaway to explore the local area and enjoy the impressive menu. This place is a must-visit for travelers or anyone looking for a great stay nearby.
odd atmosphere for a pub hotel. it would be better to open only for the evenings. very the expensive beer you consider was locally brewed. 1 and a half pints of local ale £8.40, which is a terrible amount in the nearby leyburn I was charged about 5:50. I'm not central london in yorkshire. see the menu and again some of the prices were totally inappropriate for what they offered. I don't think we'll be back.

We had an excellent 2night stay with the dog for our wedding anniversary. The accommodation was excellent, as were the staff, and the food was to “die for”! We will definitely return as soon as we can. There are vast areas accessible for walking within...the district; Leyburn is a market town close by with some lovely cafes, shops and a market every Friday! I would highly recommend the Wyvill Arms.
While on holiday and staying nearby, I was recommended The Wyvill Arms by my accommodation provider, Holiday at Home. The restaurant was outstanding in every aspect - the staff were excellent and the filet steaks were top-notch, the best I've had in a while. I would highly recommend dining here and will definitely be returning in the future.

Came with friends last night, for my birthday, our table was decorated as a surprise. All our food was fantastic, looked after by Ned, nothing was too much trouble and was attentive, a real asset. I will 100% recommend to everyone

I highly recommend the food at The Wyville Arms, particularly the steaks. The quality is fantastic and the desserts are delicious as well. We have thoroughly enjoyed the two meals we've had there and can't wait to go back.
