This Restaurant owned by Indian Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor (known for his unique crafting and re-inventing of popular regional dishes) was recommended to us by a few friends. It took us a while to make it here due to COVID, but we finally decided to give it a try. We've intended to dine at this restaurant several times in the past, but we hesitated due to its less-than-stellar reviews. However, we finally decided to give it a try, and we're really glad we did. There are numerous Indian restaurants in New Jersey, but most tend to have very predictable menus. Even if the names of the dishes vary from one restaurant to another, they often offer the same options. The Yellow Chilli stands out as refreshingly different. Most importantly, the quality of the food here is superior to that of any other Indian restaurant I have tried in NJ.
I guess I didn't have enough to drink here ? the food was a sore disappointment! Spice does not equal to taste please understand that!!! The three stars are for 1) the staff very hospitable, checked in appropriately for more side items, and generally very personable. 2) The bar good selection of Indian origin beer, wine, and liquor. And 3)The facilities easy and ample parking, and a well designed dining area. If you do like spicy food this may be worth the spend!

Used to be good, now after Covid food is below average. Paneer appetizers were reheated stale and smelled putrid. Sent it back. Service was ok, main course shaam savera was pathetic, also the Vegsabzi. Crossed off my list of restaurants. I should have seen the other reviews on yelp. Made a terrible mistake going to this place Will give it 1 star, Rajeev Kapoors Name is just a farce to get ignorant folks inside.
The food was incredible, beautifully presented, and the service was excellent with friendly and attentive staff. We were the last guests to arrive at 9:30 PM, yet they still served us top-quality dishes. We ordered Desi Manchow chicken soup, Amritsari Machchi, and Lazeez murg tikka masala, accompanied by Rumali roti and garlic naan. As a delightful surprise, my child received a complimentary mango lassi.
So i walked in for lunch in an absolutely empty restaurant and i got worried as to how it is going to be. After about 2-3 mins of thinking my wife suggested that we leave but I insisted to stay and boy i made the right call. What amazing food they make everything that we ordered was so delicious. Will definitely repeat as I would love to try their other items on the menu
Simply 5 star high quality and super delicious food. Loved the menu book, quite impressive. Especially the hot and sour soup was the star. Chai was also good. Angoori rasgulla was the only subpar everything else was so well cooked. Spices were perfectly balanced and well cooked in curries we ordered. Would visit again. Highly recommend.

The food is incredible. I spoke with Chef Babul, and his recommendations for starters really impressed us. The Peru Pyala drink was exotic, and the Bhatti ka Zinga was absolutely mouthwatering. I've never tasted Indian dishes like these anywhere else in the USA.
Service is so bad that Ok food gets two stars. Service was so slow I couldn’t order another drink before my dinner was over. Our was served cold as it was waiting for few minutes before served. Taste was not top notch. Good dessert which gets 2 stars.
