I was looking for a small cafe this Sunday to spend an hour and have something small for breakfast while waiting for the family. The city is fully packed because of the just started Oktoberfest and to find a parking place is a horror show. So driving around i could find a place not far away from this nice cafe furnished in typical Bavarian style. It was one of just few opened on Sunday so looked really good from outside and welcoming from inside the decision was an easy one. I got a place in the back in the proper restaurant area. Came here one Sunday afternoon with family. We had a reservation and arrived at 2pm. It was pretty empty at first but filled up quickly within the hour. There was a menu of the day, with very limited warm meals. My partner had the broccoli soup and it was WAY too salty. I ordered the roast beef with potatoes and to my surprise some thin slices of cold beef carpaccio arrived on a plate with warm potatoes. I felt quite misled by the roast beef description. A basket of bread was provided at no charge. There was a constant queue near the door for cakes. You could see the place was really popular with the locals. Die Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte war noch semi-gefroren, die Käesesahne ebenfalls halbgefroren und absolut geschmacklos. Der Rüblikuchen hatte ein wenig Geschmack, während die Himbeertorte keinen besonderen Geschmack hatte. Der Cappuccino war gut, und es gab ein Glas Leitungswasser, um den bitteren Geschmack zu mildern. Die Servicemitarbeiter waren freundlich, und die Bestellung kam relativ schnell an unseren Tisch. Die wenigen und ungewöhnlichen Gäste waren eher mäßig. Nach der frischen Renovierung sollte der hintere Teil des Cafés etwas besser und schöner aussehen; die Möbel sind teilweise ebenfalls ausgetauscht und aufgearbeitet worden. Dieses Restaurant war insgesamt großartig. Ich hatte das italienische Frühstück und es war köstlich. Dazu gab es eine Brezel mit Senf, die fantastisch war. Mein Freund hatte das Luxusfrühstück, und auch alles daran war wirklich gut. Das Beste waren jedoch die servierten Marmeladen. Es war die beste, die ich je hatte! Ich musste mir ein paar Gläser für zu Hause in ihrem Laden kaufen. Ich wünschte, ich hätte genug Platz gehabt, um die Kuchen zu probieren!

While out walking with our German friends, they took us to this local restaurant where we enjoyed a wonderful brunch together. The atmosphere was like you were in the kitchen of your favourite aunt, and she had just taken the pretzels out of the oven. A great time was had, and the meal was excellent and nourishing. Service prompt and efficient.

When you want to start your day with an excellent breakfast then consider doing so at the Cafe Schuntner. The atmosphere inside is comfortable and harmonious. The Service is excellent and extensive. Furthermore they do not rush you to anything. The prices are adeaquate and anyway comfortable to your purse.

Die Zwetschgen-Streuseltorte war köstlich, und es war sehr angenehm, im Innenhof zu sitzen. Auch drinnen gibt es viel Platz. Zudem waren die Geschichten über die Geschichte des Cafés Schuntner sehr interessant.

Wir hatten hier das italienische Frühstück. Es war köstlich und zu einem fairen Preis. Die Lage ist gemütlich und das Personal freundlich und schnell. Ich kann dieses Café wärmstens empfehlen.
