First off, the coffee was downright awful—more like rancid half-and-half mixed with water. When I asked for a replacement, I received a slightly better version, but my refill was back to the watery mess. I don 't know what happened to this place, but you can see why it 's not as busy as it once was. Besides the burnt bacon (I like it crispy, this crap was turning to dust), gross home fries, and somehow dry Belgian waffles (maybe the cook was a bit cooked himself) the worst part was that my fiancé (who worked an overnight in last night 's storm as a first responder) sent back his steak and eggs because his medium steak was past well done and his home fries were limp and unseasoned. He only ate the 2 eggs out of it but was charged for the full meal despite telling the waitress he wasn 't going to eat it. This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a meal! The staff, from the owner to the waitstaff and bussers, is incredibly friendly. The food comes out quickly, even when the restaurant is busy! They make a lot of dishes in-house, including fresh pie. It's our favorite place for eggs and their turkey sandwich, which features fresh turkey instead of that unpleasant deli meat. They also offer daily specials; on Thursdays, you can enjoy their chicken pot pie, which comes with soup or salad and isn't overly salty. Best French Toast Ever! They serve brunch all day! After we tried this restaurant last summer then it’s a must-to-go place every month. Reasonable price with good service, we tried pork chops, fried chicken, and special chili, they are all great! Loved it! Waitress was awesome, what a personality , and very helpful when someone left their glasses home and couldn't read the menu (ha). Great portions for reasonable prices. Thick sliced bacon. Tasty pancakes done right, busy happy place. I'm happy we tried it! Recommended.
Small diner with very good breakfasts. The cheesy grits bacon and eggs was very good. Grits were creamy cheesy, eggs your way, 4 strips of thick cut bacon and toast served in a hot pan.
While the food is amazing, the half naked, smelly, homeless man right in the middle of the dining room did not provide a safe and healthy environment to eat it.
