We heard that the pub had re-opened, so decided to visit for my husband's birthday and had pre-booked. We arrived and were seated at our table, at no point were we told or made aware that there was an issue with lack of food. It was left to the poor waitress to tell diners that most of the menu was unavailable, no burgers, chips, steaks, onion rings the list kept getting bigger and bigger as the evening went on (only 7.30 pm). We tried to order a burger, mixed grill, onion rings, only to be told they did not have them or a check would have to be made with the kitchen. Been in this pub several times over the years, but they do not have the vegan options they are doing now. A nice pub with a separate restaurant area and a pleasant outdoor seating area. You can eat the same menu in the pub area. Vegan dishes are on the main map and are marked. I had the Ultimate Vegan Burger. The chips and house Slaves were delicious. Unfortunately, the burger itself was not great. I was hoping for a vegetable burger, but it was 'fake meat' and not a very good one. Too bad because I had great hopes! I will definitely go back to try their other dishes and hopefully give him an additional star.

Nicely redecorated premises with ample parking facilities, food was good but one dish had over cooked and inedible mushrooms which was brought to the attention of the server who apologized, agreed and confirmed they were inedible and stated she would get replacements which never arrived. Service was very slow in so much we couldn't be bothered with ordering desserts and after requesting and waiting for the bill for quite a time had to approach the servers station in order to settle the bill and leave. We won't be returning unfortunately.

Went today with my octogenarian parents for lunch. Wanted to see what the refurb looked like. It looks lovely. However, even though it was a hot day and relatively busy we waited for 90minutes before cancelling our order of a “quick” lunch. On complaining I was told “we have good chefs” I said yep but obviously not enough to which I was told that I was wrong. Not so much of an apology but a very poor excuse. 90 minute wait? Is that acceptable? I shan’t return and I’ve had many a family get together there over the years. Very disappointed

New refurb looks great. Unfortunately you can't order any food unless you're on the patio. No crisps or nuts. Rude, older lady member of staff. Drinks are pretty expensive
