My group had booked the function room. We meet and read our poetry. As I walked a member of staff jumped on us by shouting and pointing a finger at me and my son. Let alone the fact that the entrance was blocked and you had to ask people to move so you could enter the pub or leave it nothing was done to maintain access to exit door. The staff member shouting was rude, didn’t give us access to the function room even though I have been a member of the group fir over twenty years. She acted in a threatening, rude and inappropriate manner and lied to us by saying children are not allowed. We had an amazing evening at Three Kings. The woman who appeared to be the manager went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was incredibly funny and attentive, even though she was very busy. She recommended that our group of 3 dine in the quieter upstairs room, which we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. The food was tasty, arrived promptly, and was reasonably priced. Despite the bustling bar, we never had to wait long to be served.
Very smart pub in a lovely location. I didn’t visit before the current decor so can’t comment, nevertheless it’s an attractive pub. Five hand pumps but, at the time of my visit, only DoomBar and Seafarers on; Landlord and Harvey’s off, plus one empty. Just needs a little more attention to real ale options to make it five stars!

Haven't been here for some time. Popped in Thursday night and was horrified that the scruffy old boozer we loved has now been homogenised like most pubs in the area. Bland decor and music ruined the experience and we won't be returning. Shame, as the staff were nice and service and drink selection fine.
Came here after work with some friends and had a room booked upstairs which was great. Great atmosphere and good selection and prices. Sarah was particularly great with us, can't wait to come back again!
Pretty average for the area. Beer (Harvey’s Sussex Best) wasn’t great, quite flat actually. Nice little pub in a nice location and seems to have some quirky touches so will probably pop back one day
The restaurant has a fantastic relaxed atmosphere with a lot of character. I can imagine it would be great when there's a big game on. The bar staff and manager were perfect.
fantastic. we have booked some tables to see the final of the champions league. the staff was extremely helpful, and the service was very fast, even if the pub was packed.
