Here's a story...Meeting a friend for morning brunch and coffee I arrived at Three Little Ducks early. As the cafe was nearly empty (I wonder why) I was invited by the waitress to take my pick of any table for two that was free. About a minute after sitting down another table became available next to the window (which does have a lovely view to the bay) and I took the opportunity to relocate to this table (again there was hardly anyone else there). It was at this point my experience changed into the most bizarre cafe encounter I've ever had.Another worker at the cafe came over to me (who I can now safely assume was the owner) and expressed his anger at me for moving tables without his permis...
This is truly in a top spot, if you get a table by the window! Make sure you book if you want a window with the beautiful view. The menu is a little like every other bistro style restaurant around, with very similar offerings. The service was prompt and friendly, our squid was plentiful, if somewhat soggy rather than crispy. I'm a bit fed up with people tossing a bunch of pre bagged greens on a plate and calling it 'salad'. It's really not hard to jazz up a salad people.The servings are certainly a good size, but I think a bit more attention to detail would go a long way to giving the ducks extra points.
We had a lovely lunch, very friendly staff with good interaction. The menu had good choices for most people, accommodating for most tastes & dietary needs. The aspect from the rear of the venue is more than pleasant. The food very enjoyable & prices reasonable. Cannot comment on breakfast or dinner menus but would certainly return for another visit. A very nice experience.
My friend and I Went to go for lunch was seated at a lovely table with view restaurant was empty. On seeing the menu we decided just to get coffee wow did our reception change the owner seemed angry told us we had to move and to take our water with us and shifted us to other end of restaurant. Stopped here by chance on a Friday night, got delicious burgers and fish and chips for $15 each with fresh cooked French fry style chips which we thought was excellency value. Had a vegetarian burger on the menu which is always appreciated ! Lovely service and the meals were so quickly prepared and tasted bey fresh! Would definitely recommend !
Returned for lunch after enjoying brunch here a few months ago. Steaks were cooked as ordered accompanied by freshly fried chips and a crispy salad. Tasmanian wines were highlighted. Service was super friendly and not rushed. Highly recommend for a reunion with friends but be sure to reserve your table
Freshly prepared food, large serves, and staff who fuss made us feel most welcome. The food and wine menu is extensive with something to please everybody. I have eaten here several times, and it is open on Mondays.

Great food and great service. Had a glass of champagne, dips for starters, mushroom risotto and fish of the day for mains.
