My husband, daughter and myself had supper here on Sept 5, the food was very good as well as the service, but it stopped there. My daughter paid for the meal $88.00) by interact and they were having problems, ended up she got charged twice...which she only realized once she got back to Montreal. She contacted the restaurant and they asked for proof, she provided the restaurant with a copy of her bank statement showing the amount charged twice on the same day, but they said it didn't show the transaction twice on their end and would not refund her, told her to deal with her bank. We were not very pleased.
My wife and I went here after hiking in Fundy National Park after reviewing the menus of most of the restaurants in Alma. We both wanted scallops. I had the baked scallops and my wife had the scallop salad. We both loved out dishes. My...wife asked about if she could substitute something if she got the baked scallops and the waitress told her there would be an upcharge. I am glad she told us that instead of letting my wife order with a substitution and finding out later when we pay the bill. Great place to eat and if you can get a seat on the deck I highly recommend it providing the weather is nice.
For dinner, I had the delicious crab cakes and my husband enjoyed the grilled Atlantic salmon and shrimp on a bed of greens with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The portion sizes were just right, not too big or too small. Our young server was friendly and accommodating, and we appreciated being seated in a separate room for a more intimate dining experience. The views of the Alma harbor were an added bonus.
SMALL servings. Smallest seafood platter in the Maritimes. Waitress said it was big enough to share...nope! Barely big enough for 1 Apparently you don 't get more fries when you order 'All You Can Eat Fish Chips ' special, just fish?! All 3 orders of fish...were different. We highly recommend trying the seafood chowder and the delicious scallops bacon chowder. The mac and cheese balls (appetizer) were also very tasty. The lobster burger, filled with beef and lobster, was absolutely mouthwatering. A stop at this restaurant is a must during your trip to the region.
my deceased wife and I ate there five years ago. my granddaughter and I ate this year on the same table that I sat 5 years ago. we observe how the humble birds eat there. the restaurant runs...shortly handled, but eating is really good yet. they work hard to let her eat hot and on time.
We had a great dining experience at The Tides. The restaurant was clean and spacious, with a friendly and attentive staff. The terrace had a nice view of the water and was shaded. The food was delicious, high quality, and plentiful.
One of THE best meals we’ve ever had were here. Their chowders are rich and creamy, their fish and chips are plentiful, and the deep fried scallops are fabulous. Highly recommend! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
