When I inquired about the milkshake I had ordered to be shared with my aunt, the server said that their milkshake was comparable to DairyQueen's milk shakes. We originally inquired about the price of a chocolate shake which was in my opinion very pathetic. The waitress said it was a 16oz glass that it came in, boy was she wrong or just a straight up liar. Judging from my years in the hospitality industry, the glass was no bigger than 6oz and it was requested by myself that I would share it with my aunt. When this shared milkshake arrived at our table, it was barely half full (in a 6oz glass) for myself and my aunt. The server stated that there was 3 scoops of ice cream...that was clearly not...
We went for a late breakfast on a Sunday Morning (10am) and noticed a lot of cars out front...good sign. There seemed to be a lot of local regular customers...GREAT sign. The gentleman at the cash greeted us and apologized that it would be a few minutes There were 6 of us so there was a little wait for a table big enough, but not an unreasonable amount of time. When a table came ready it was a few more minutes until it was wiped off as the last customers had left it quite a mess. The diner was incredibly busy and it doesn't look like there is a large amount of staff. The food was really good and plentiful without being so much on your plate that it gets wasted. This is a hidden gem since it is not in the old part of Brockville but on the north side of Hwy 401. This is a much better place to eat versus the chain restaurants in Brockville. I have been here for breakfast and lunch and have never been disappointed. They refill our coffee many times and the food is tasty and plentiful. It is not a huge place so it can be busy. I like the sandwiches and they had coconut cream pie which is a must have.
I've been here many times and haven't been disappointed with the food or service. I particularly like coming for lunch - the "Specials" never fail and they are quick. The lasagna is very good! The coffee is the best restaurant coffee in town! However the establishment itself is a "greasy spoon" so you have to accept that going in!
Visits to the Tincsap restaurant continue to get worse. Waited 10 minutes this morning to get our table cleared from a previous guest, another 10 minutes to get our coffee. Added feature to breakfast was a hair in my bacon, cold toast and flavorless eggs. This will be our last visit to this restaurant.
Was trying to decide between Very Good and Average - all things consider for $ 8 where can you get a hot beef sandwich and homemade soup. Friendly staff and very helpful. If you looking a basic lunch - this place is very suitable. Nothing pretentious about the atmosphere - basic eatery for a meal.
You'll miss it if you don't know it's there! But definitely worth stopping in... We ordered the pizza and it was pretty dang good! Loads of fresh toppings (seriously ... loads!!!) And no need to ask for double cheese, they gotcha covered here.
Fast service and good food, but the size of the sandwich on their smoked meat platter was disappointing. My co-workers, though, raved about their breakfasts.
Best food for the price and taste. A must. Good for family and kids. A taste of Greek and Canadian food. Just like Moma used to make.
