The staff at this restaurant seem more interested in chatting about their weekends than in properly making the expensive coffees customers are paying for. This was my third visit, hoping that my previous bad experiences were just a fluke, but unfortunately, the poor service seems to be the norm. I will not be returning. There are much friendlier service and better coffee at the lovely small independent coffee shops just a few meters away.
Ideal for a quick coffee and cake break from work. Lactose-free substitutes available. Cakes all look great, the ones we tried also tasted delicious. The seating at the window is a bit uninspired but comfortable enough for a short period of time. Everyone was very friendly, service was speedy.
sat down for 5 mins to get situated with my stuff, before I make an order and a zesty dude came up to me telling me to make an order otherwise I wasn’t allowed to sit. Don’t personally like being rushed or pestered so I left, idk who the guy was but it was rude

First time here Saturday 20th January2024, had a wrap and cake,cappuccino was cold had asked for it extra hot,not very hygienic having the cakes along top of counter, everyone breathing and talking over them to order food,should be covered !!!
Great place, nice buzz getting a spot being at times the main challenge.People are always moaning about this place,but it's fine, and you come in, get a coffee, and sit,it's quite simple.
The manager was very pushy and aggressive, but the rest of the staff was delightful and the coffee was excellent. Hopefully, they can address the issue with the manager.

Can’t beat a Tinderbox coffee when strolling Byres Rd. My go to never been disappointed.
