A hidden gem! Everything we had was delicious. The Sopes plate may have looked a bit haphazard, but the flavors were amazing, which is what really counts. I ordered five different tacos, and the Res was my favorite—savory and crispy. The mixtos was interesting with a variety of textures; it might not be for everyone, but I’m glad I gave it a shot. The carnitas and lengua were both excellent—true classics that never disappoint. The barbacoa was good as well, but be cautious of small bones or bone fragments. Also featured are the Mole enchiladas. If that’s something you enjoy, I highly recommend trying them!
The space is fairly large with simple decor, including a bar area, and it's quite unpretentious, attracting many families. For appetizers, we chose the ceviche and pupusa, both of which were amazing—I can't imagine not ordering them again! For our main courses, my husband had the chicken burrito, while I enjoyed a wonderful egg dish that the waitress recommended when I mentioned I don’t eat meat. The food was absolutely delicious, and we had so much that we couldn’t finish it all. Our waitress was lovely and regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be returning!
I recently had the best churrasco (carne asada) I've enjoyed in a long time. The lunch portion was generous and cooked to a perfect medium rare—tender and full of flavor. I absolutely loved it! The chips and salsa were also great, making for a really enjoyable lunch overall. The service was excellent. I definitely recommend this place. One of my coworkers mentioned that the neighborhood feels a bit sketchy, but another coworker said he really enjoys the food here too.
If I could give zero stars, I would. The food was disappointing, and the service left much to be desired. My friend and I went in, and the lady taking our order struggled to understand us. She got my order wrong; I had asked for a hard taco with lettuce and cheese, but what I received was just beef and cheese served on a piece of lettuce. We also encountered issues when trying to split our bill.
