eaten here a couple of times, drunk here more than a couple :P it 's a nice little place where the staff are generally friendly, and the beer selection decent. unfortunately there 's not too much in the way of ciders, but alas, we can 't have everything, i haven 't tried the food in a while so it might be unfair to leave a food review as things might have changed, the food was just 'ok ' the last time i decided to eat there, a bit overpriced for what it was (sliders, wings and crumbed mushrooms) which tasted fine after a few drinks but nothing to write home about, but to be fair i 'll have to go back and see what they 've got in the way of food now, as the last few times i 've just been dri...
Tippler's Tap is one of the top bars in South Bank, conveniently located across from the cinema. The unique outdoor seating area, shaped like a house, adds to the ambiance of this establishment. They offer a variety of beers on tap, as well as gin and tonic. I tried the tasting plate, which allowed me to sample 5 beers of my choice at a reasonable price, especially during Sunday happy hours. The food, including deep fried crumbed calamari, mushrooms, and chicken wings, was delicious and not overly salty or greasy. The sauces served with the dishes were also exceptional. I will definitely return to Tippler's Tap when I am in the area.
Great burgers and hot dogs, the onion rings are very well made also! I ordered the Southside Baby burger which came with two beef patties, cheese, pickles and mustard. The meat was cooked medium well done so of you don't like red in your beef make sure you ask to have your patties cooked well done. My partner ordered the Francheezie Dog and the combination of the bacon, relish, cheese and cucumber worked well. It also comes with a pickled chilli if you are game enough to try your resilience to heat! Make sure you order a side or basket of onion rings! Best onion rings I've had in town!
Excellent service. We walked in and straight away the staff member greeted us and started talking to us about his beer selections on tap. We gave us samples to try before we actually bought. I am a big fan of beer and enjoy trying new brews. This restaurant consistently offers a wide selection of craft beers and stays current with the latest trends in the craft beer scene. The atmosphere is great and the staff is always friendly. If you're looking to sample a variety of craft beers, this is the perfect spot for you!
After reading positive reviews, we decided to check out this restaurant. The customer service was excellent and the food was delicious, with generous portions. Although there was a slight delay in getting our food, we visited during a busy time. Overall, we highly recommend this place.
Great staff. Super friendly and attentive. Got the wings and onion rings and a drink. Very good value for what you get and the location. Delicious blue cheese sauce! Only sad part: they only do dry drub wings and not buffalo, it would be swell if they did both!
