It's been ages since I had visited here and I'm really glad we made it back. Tippy's is nothing fancy and I mean that as the highest form of compliment. The food is just excellent well done eating without all the overwrought complications that many Mexican places use to justify bloated prices. I had Tacos and queso both were excellent. The Tacos were meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes which was perfectly balanced. The food was slightly the issue. Right after eating my stomach was hurting and I felt like vomiting. The cashier/manager was rude. He was rushing me to order and when he gave us out food got in attitude because we tried to get the tray. He then got upset with my co-worker because he brought his own food and told him to leave. All in all he needs to learn about customer service.
Although there are other locations which makes this a chain, I consider Tippy's Taco in Centreville more of a mom and pop local eatery. It's been there ever since I moved in the neighborhood about 18 years ago and it has stayed the same and consistent. Prices have gone up like everywhere else but it's always comforting to me that I can go here when I'm craving Tippy's.
I have been going to Tippy's for over 30 years now and I most of the time get a dinner size queso dip $3.95 today I got the cheese dip it was so watery it wouldn’t stick to the chips when I asked about it they said it was a new brand of cheese. Wouldn’t give a refund just wanted to give me a new container of cheese dip. Why it’s the same cheese dip. It’s a shame

Excellent prices and great food to go!!! Great specials.. hot and good food... More of a american style Mexican food but it's good. Location isn't the best to eat in but has plenty of room just lacks comfort/good decore. Very nice workers!!!
Not the most authentic Mexican food in the world, I.e. definitely Tex Mex, but affordable, tasty and the people who worked there were very friendly
I've been going to Tippys since the 90s and the food is always great, fantastic employees, and the place is clean.
The Tex-mex menu is delicious and affordable. The restaurant is immaculate. I highly recommend stopping by.
