I've been here twice now and both times have been a great experience. On my first visit I tried the Dole pineapple freeze with coconut milk. It was super refreshing and the perfect consistency. I also enjoyed the bits of real pineapple. Perfect for a nice sunny day! For my second visit, shoutout to Christine for being super friendly and helpful in crafting my drink. I had been eyeing the Real taro smoothie but wanted to add Oreos blended in (I've had something similar at another cafe and loved it). So I'm Japanese and am VERY picky about my boba.When finishing my oil change at Valvoline, I asked the young Asian guy where to get the best Boba around there. He said TJ cups. Good rec buddy!So happy with the delish milk teas.They brew REAL TEA. 5 stars!Most places use powder not real tea.The oolong tea was EXCELLENT, lovely high quality tea. The salted cream was deeelish creamy and perfectly balanced. There are so many boba shops that sometimes it feels hard to differentiate one from the other. If I had to figure out where TJ Cups fit into the boba space, I would say it's in their slushes and smoothies. They have the usual milk tea staples (HK milk tea, thai tea, etc. but their most appetizing drinks are definitely their slush/smoothies. Got the Matcha Milk Snow. Ingredients are boba, matcha, ice cream, and adzuki. Sounds perfect. It was $8.99 so the price is definitely higher than a regular milk tea. Super delicious. I got original sweetness and it wasn't that sweet which was nice. Definitely great as a dessert after a meal (and there's plenty of restaurants in the area !

A friend recommended we go here after dumplings and it was okay. I'd like to try other drinks but I just got their black milk tea with boba. For some reason it was milky but had a tea y after taste. It didn't taste like a milk tea if that makes sense. But I'll come back to try something else next time.It looks like they're on Doordash, they had a ton of orders. Situated in the more quiet area of Richmond, we were able to score a parking spot around the corner on a Sunday. Already garnered points for location! You can order at the register or take your time and order at their electronic kiosk. We got their signature TJ boba milk tea that comes with a non dairy creamer. Love. I got my sugar level at 50% and it was just sweet enough while letting you taste the tea. Their boba was perfectly chewy with a slight brown sugar taste. Very satisfied with TJs!

I’ve ordered here a few times now and it’s always ready we’ll before the estimate! I’m within walking distance so that’s really convenient for me; just order and start walking since it’s ready so quickly : The recommended sweetness is the right move. 75% sounds like it will be sickly sweet but so far it’s been the perfect amount.Matcha is earthy but not bitter mango is sweet and fruity :

Everything at this restaurant is delicious, especially their mango freeze. The jasmine x uji matcha with boba is also fantastic. While it may be a bit pricey, it's worth it for a special treat every now and then.
