Reserved a table, had the confirmation email but when I arrived there was no reservation for me. That's the 2nd time in the last 3 bookings that has happened at Toby. Luckily there was a table available but it probably annoyed the 30 or so people waiting. I went at peak-time on a bank holiday which wasn't the best idea. In general the food was ok but they always struggle to get their potatoes cooked nicely.
I really enjoyed the meal- much much better than the one in East Hunsbury . Service was great and the food was lovely! My only criticism is that it was just a touch cold in the area we sat in and that may have made the food cold a bit sooner than I would have liked. Other than that I will definitely come again!
Always nice to have a great roast dinner with such a wide choice of meat and vegetables. Only criticism is that the buffet table could be better presented by the occasional tidy up where customers have been careless when serving themselves.
Not enough staff we waited nearly half an hour to be served if I hadn't had gone to asked to served it could have been longer not happy with this as we had a child with us it is not acceptable over all the food was great Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Abby our waitress was lovely and welcoming as were all the staff. Abby went the extra mile to assist my daughter who has learning difficulties. Beef was smashing as was veg Brie parcel and all the veg.
Having not eaten out for quite a while, the whole experience to-day was good. My only comment was that the food was not as hot as I would have liked. Everything else was most acceptable.
We were shown straight to our table, did not have to wait before going up for our meal. The food was really goods, well cooked and plenty of choice of vegetables.
The staff were friendly and efficient with good service. We had the roast. Sadly the vegetables were not as hot as we would've liked but rest of food was fine Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
It’s the best Toby carvery we have ever been too, we came up from Bristol to surprise a friend and I would highly recommend this place
