This is by far my favorite sushi restaurant in Michigan—no question about it. They offer the freshest fish and an impressive selection of seasonal options for Nigiri and Sashimi. This is the only place I've found where the uni (sea urchin) is truly excellent. All of their rolls are fantastic, with the most delightful flavor combinations. They also have the best crab salad I've ever tasted, and I typically don't even like crab salad! The hot dishes are incredible; I was blown away the first time I tried the unagi donburi. On my later visits, I tried the Nine Mile and Mango Tango Rolls. The Nine Mile was enjoyable, but I would skip the chili sauce on the Mango Tango next time, as it overwhelmed the sweet flavor of the mango. I also ventured beyond the sushi menu and had the Kalbi beef, which featured tender, flavorful short ribs served with banchan (pickled daikon, kimchi, bean sprouts, and fish cakes) and rice. It was absolutely delicious!
Regarding the service, everyone was very accommodating. My only concern was that the food took a bit longer to arrive than I had anticipated. Still, I'm excited to have discovered a new place for my sushi cravings—especially since my usual favorite is currently unreachable...
My dining group eagerly anticipates every visit to this restaurant, even from those who travel over 30 miles one way. The sushi selection features unique options that are hard to find elsewhere, and the menu includes a variety of Japanese and Korean dishes for those who prefer something other than sushi. I'm really grateful to live nearby. The service has remained excellent, even after they expanded the dining area to accommodate more guests. Occasionally, the kitchen may fall behind, but the food is absolutely worth the wait. They've also added more booths for extra privacy and additional tables. With plenty of parking available, you shouldn't experience long waits, even during peak times....
1) Upon entering, we received a warm welcome from almost everyone, including the hosts and the sushi chefs. 2) My child has a shellfish allergy, so we were thrilled to find a variety of rolls to choose from. The chicken tempura roll, Alaskan roll, and beef teriyaki roll were absolutely delicious. The chicken tempura roll was our favorite!!!! I also tried a shrimp tempura roll, which was quite tasty. 3) The prices were reasonable, and the seating was spacious and clean. I often find it frustrating when restaurants have you sitting too close to others. This has now become our go-to spot for sushi!

The drink menu is impressive, featuring a range of sake and other Japanese beverages, along with beer and soda. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys sushi or Japanese cuisine. My experiences here have been outstanding. As a lifelong sushi lover, I can confidently say this is my favorite spot. I consistently give it a perfect rating. You really can't go wrong—definitely try the special dinner, particularly the volcano roll and teriyaki salmon roll!
This is, without a doubt, the best sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced. The waitstaff is always very attentive and helpful. The Bento Box dinner offers the best value on the menu, with everything cooked to perfection. We even make the drive from Waterford, passing several other sushi places, just to come here because it’s truly the best!
The service was prompt and the staff very welcoming. Our soup and salad were served just two minutes after we ordered. The tempura vegetables and shrimp were fried to perfection, providing the perfect crunch without being too greasy. The Bento box was so substantial that I couldn’t finish it and had to take a third of it home. I will certainly be back to try more items from their menu!
Our waiter was very friendly, and we had a fun exchange about me needing silverware, which he promptly provided. The food was excellent, and the service was overall great! We dined in for lunch, and the price per person was around $10–20. I would rate the food a 5, service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4. I highly recommend trying the sushi and miso soup!
