We visited Tom Sawyer Diner for lunch on a Sunday afternoon around 1:45, even though Google Maps indicated a busy crowd. Thankfully, we were seated quickly, and our friendly waitress attended to us. We had to ask for the separate breakfast menu. My husband chose a pastrami corned beef dish loaded with lean meat and accompanied by steamed vegetables instead of fries. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, requesting light on the Russian dressing, and the waitress kindly informed me it’s always served on the side. The sandwich was delicious, filled with sauerkraut, meat, and cheese. We were both satisfied and took half of our sandwiches home. Our friends ordered omelets, which they enjoyed, though one...
