In Perinton! My burger barely had a bottom bun. I told the counter gal. She did not seem bothered by it. She said when they tear the buns apart they can tear like that. Seems like poor quality control to me. You cannot successfully manage the burger with only a quarter of the bottom bun! A let down. The owner or manager responded to my post, but I do not remember when I was here. Basically only 1 week prior to my original post. He wrote that he 'd like to make it 'right '. I would like them to make it right too. I have not gone back, I was back in Rochester in 2/19. I ate at their Bill Gray 's in Webster in 2/19. UPDATE: They now have an app that you can install on your phone. Currently, signing up and registering will garner you a free cheeseburger. It seems you need 150 points to start being able to redeem them for something. Food was good, and I was able to solve my sliding burger problem with their normal bun, by asking what options they have and going with a seeded bun. Thanks for that option! Easily accommodated my asking for red hots with no buns as well! Staff is always friendly.
Thank you guys for existing. I was told tom wahl 's is a staple of Rochester and I was not let down. As a Canadian from Toronto area who visited multiple times, I can safely report that this place is unbelievable with amazing burgers/fries and don 't even get me started on the root beer float (also amazing). You guys do it very, very well and I cannot wait to come back to Rochester area!
Sorry Tom Wahls, but this wasn’t our best meal that we’ve had there! Two cheeseburgers that were over cooked and even though we asked for meat sauce, they were extremely dry!! Very thin burgers! Fries were soggy, not crisp!
Had the Wahlburger, couldn't really taste the ham cheese or sauce much. Burger is good. Onion rings are above average. The bacon cheese seemed to have more pop in flavor. Nice place to sit and eat though
Mushroom and swiss burger really doesnt need condiments. Almost too many zig zag fries with the combo and of course nothing beats a Tom Wahl root beer. No room for ice cream tho.
Decent place to get a quick bite . Better food and more generous amounts than I remember . Overall a good place for casual dining if a bit spartan.
The best cheeseburger and onions. Served fresh and the food was super hot and stayed hot for a long time. Worth the drive!
Staff are super friendly and efficient. Food is always hot and tasty. Ordering on the app is quick and easy.
