I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The jalapeño poppers and fries were outstanding, and I couldn’t resist taking advantage of the $1 Taco Tuesday deal. They even have two large bottles of Mexican Coke available! The restaurant is always clean and well-maintained, and the service is top-notch. The staff genuinely seems happy, which adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The environment is delightful, and I love the variety of music they play—it appears to change depending on the day or time. Additionally, they have two large TVs showing sports or news, which is a nice touch. Overall, I always have a fantastic time here!
I searched online for a nearby Mexican restaurant and came across Top Shelf Tacos, which had great reviews and featured pictures of mouthwatering dishes. When I arrived, there was no wait, and the customer service was good. I had my eye on two specific dishes that I found online, but unfortunately, they no longer offered them, which was quite disappointing. I ended up ordering the Jalapeño Poppers, which came with fries for $14.33—no drink included. The fries were a bit flimsy and not very crispy, but they were seasoned with seasoning salt instead of regular salt, which added some nice flavor. The Poppers were also tasty.
I'm not particularly a fan of Americanized Mexican food (like El Torito), but I underestimated this restaurant based on its name. They serve authentic Mexican cuisine that is far more delicious than your typical taco stand. I've noticed some complaints about their prices, and while I agree they are higher than average, you truly get what you pay for. The quality of the meats is superior, and they generously fill their tacos. Additionally, their salsa bar is well-maintained, and the salsas are exquisite. The food at this restaurant is amazing, especially the Asada, but I've noticed a significant increase in prices recently. It hardly feels fair to pay such high rates for Mexican food. With these new outrageous prices, I don't plan on returning. I understand that the cost of supplies and ingredients has gone up, but this price hike seems excessive and appears to be driven solely by profit. Taco Tuesday is a delightful experience at this restaurant, making it ideal for family gatherings. I'm particularly impressed that they bottle their aguas frescas! That's right—the Horchata, Cucumber Lime, and my personal favorite, Jamaica (sweet hibiscus tea), are all available in bottles, making them easy to take on the go. The music is also wonderful, featuring a great playlist that enhances the overall atmosphere.
