My friends and I were looking for a casual dinner spot after catching a movie, and we stumbled upon an amazing find! I ordered the Buah Mango Chicken, and I truly mean it when I say it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my 21 years. The sauce was absolutely divine, the chicken was cooked perfectly, and the mango added a refreshing touch. The Thai tea was fantastic too. My friends were also really pleased with their meals. The ambiance was intimate and cozy, and the staff was prompt and attentive. I've never written a review before, but I felt compelled to share my experience at this restaurant. I also ordered chicken pad thai, and when I paid at the counter, I noticed that the description mentioned it came with tofu. I told the guy at the counter that I hadn’t realized tofu was included and that I didn’t want any. His response was, “They are cooking it now, just pick it out,” which I found to be somewhat rude. This wasn’t a very customized dish. The pad thai sauce was quite disappointing—almost tasted like ketchup and didn’t have the expected peanut or tamarind flavor at all. The noodles also seemed overcooked. Thai food is my favorite, but I haven’t even had the heart to touch the leftovers. What a disappointment. I won’t be returning.
I've visited this restaurant several times, and the food is consistently delicious and served hot. As a fan of spicy food, I appreciate that they always get the spice level just right for my taste. I usually order the pad Thai and spring rolls, and you really can't go wrong with either of those dishes. The staff is friendly, but they don't seem to pay much attention to customers. We found ourselves waiting quite a while to ask for our check because the staff was busy chatting with each other right next to our table instead of checking in on us. The interior is a bit dim, but there is plenty of seating available.

Fourth visit to this restaurant and something was OFF.My Spicy Veggies and Tofu came out to the table with four pieces of tofu the total volume of which was the size of a matchbox, maybe a matchbox and a half if I am being generous.How ridiculous. Look at the picture of the vegetables. So why go through all the effort to make a beautiful stir fry of vegetables and include such a miniscule amount of tofu that it warrants this review?Stupid. I dined at Top Spice 2nights ago. The Tofu& Veggie soup was excellent.I also had Nam Sod made with ground chicken.It was totally delish!!Things went south when I asked for a 2nd wedge of cabbage. My server came back and informed me that it would cost me an additional $2.00 for a 2 wedge of cabbage.I dined at TopSpice on Piedmont for several years and was never asked to pay for extra cabbage. I won't be back.
The food was fine for the money, but not fantastic. I had pad Thai, and it was incredibly sweet and gooey. I hoped for a little more dynamic seasoning. The shrimp rolls we ordered were also okay but really greasy. The service was good and the food came out quickly. This isn’t a place you go to for fine dining, but might make for good takeout in a pinch.
I used to love this place, but it’s gone down hill in quality and up hill in prices since Covid. Not only have they raised every entree $5, but every item is an extra $1 when ordering take out and they give you half the food. Sad to say I’ll probably stop going. The appetizer was $7.95 and Kari Sayur Campur $17.95. This is what I got!
